yea, I hear you, his favorability ratings among registered Republicans is shocking. Normalizing this behavior is damaging America no end. But I've got to assume that independents are not happy with his racist carry on.I'm a pessimist. I wouldn't be shocked if he won re-election. I'm not even mad any more. I'm just sad that this is who walk among us - many more than I ever thought possible.
He'll keep the deep red states but I think Florida is back in play, I'd say the Cuban American vote wont be the same for him and stuff like people with felony convictions getting the vote will help the dems.
If Biden wins, there won't be a wave of momentum but he will take Pennsylvania and probably the rust belt states. He'll beat Trump.
If someone else wins (Warren/Harris/Buttigeig), they are relying on momentum and a high turnout and I think they'll get that.
Trumps 2016 campaign was vile but he wasn't POTUS, now that he is, his style of campaigning will do him more harm than good. It's aimed squarely at his base who were going to vote for him no matter what.
The question is, is the damage his 2020 campaign will do irreversible?
