That speech will not have convinced one person to go out and vote for Trump who wasn’t already a fully paid up member of his fan club - and they’re all coming out on Election Day anyway.

Wasn'the all this type of rationale applied when he was running the first time?

How many ignorant people who wasn't of age to vote in trump households will have come of age? Prodomantly less educated poorer families who are trump supporters have way more children than educated 'woke' left wing minded people. His base (that won for him last time) has grown and he is stoking up the fire. With his 'dribble'. He's being underestimated yet again by the likes of you who are meant to be off higher mind and that worries me deeply.
 
Im watching Anderson Cooper and theres a bunch of women defending Trump with such one eyed vigour it’s scary. Literally thinking ‘go back to where you came from’ isn’t racist.

I think America is broken.

I’m not underestimating him at all, he’s a favourite to win re-election, same as every 1st term president in recent memory. He was certainly underestimated the first time round, but he also had a lot of “reluctant voters” who could convince themselves that “he’ll dial it down once he’s in the office” or “the office forces people to be Presidential”

What I won’t do is assume that everything he does is genius, particularly something like his recent behaviour which has been roundly condemned by moderates and independents.

Can you show some data to illustrate that his base has grown please?

The Cusak thing was more the point about left wing hypocrisy, all outraged at Trump supposedly being racist, racism in their own ranks though = wall of silence

And are these Trump rallies inciting violence, do members of the public get attacked and beaten up at them? I don't think so. Antifa's sole prupose it to go around beating people up they disagree with. That's the difference and again highlights the hypocrisy on the left - all triggered by people in red hats cheering on Trump, not bothered though by thugs with their faces hidden attacking people in the street

Hey mate, what did you make of Trump and his supporters openly chanting "send her back" in reference to a US citizen who arrived as a refugee 30 years ago? Are we misinterpreting it? If your answer could just be about the rally itself, and not about John Cusack or Antifa, that would be great.

Nobody is underestimating him, in fact most people are pretty resigned to him getting a second term. Equally, it's disappointing and frightening to see a US president openly being racist and embracing racist chants at his own rallies, and to see that there are more than a few who are okay with that
