Because as Abramson has said, he only approached it from one angle. He did not even look into the quid pro quo angle.

I think it would have been madness for Barr to materially distort that finding of no conspiracy, at the very least because of the likelihood of the “real” conclusion leaking. The lack of interviews of Jnr and Kushner is weird as is who were they trying to get Manafort to co-operate against before that all went pear-shaped?

I think a lot genuinely believed that the Trump tower meeting was a smoking gun in combination with the other actions.

I put wasted in quotes because I don't see either investigation as a waste in principle. We should find out what happened. Benghazi became a waste when it was restarted even when nothing was found but not finding wrong doing doesn't mean it was a waste imo.

What was that film called? As Good As It Gets? That's how Donald Trump must feel now that the attorney general has published his four-page summary of the Mueller report. It is impossible to over-emphasise the significance of what has been said. The media is being so irresponsible with their reporting. Saying things like "the Muellar Report has been received by Congress". No it has not.

A brief summary written by the guy who last June wrote an unsolicited 20 page letter to Congress saying obstruction of justice didn't apply. He was subsequently made AG. The report has not been released. A partisan summary has. Nothing more.
