It's not the 25-30% though.Sad to say, I don't think there's much to be done about the 25-30% of America that still idolizes Cheeto Mussolini. So for purposes of winning election why spend any time whatsoever on people who have to be convinced a Gillette advert calling for men to behave properly and for men to hold other men accountable isn't man-bashing? It's a losing proposition. Fox News gonna Fox News.
Win the suburbs. Make an economic and social argument that appeals to the traditional liberal base as well as educated suburban folk. It is not only possible, it is begging to be done. If Beto O'Rourke can get within 3 points of Ted Cruz in Texas, that's all the evidence I need.
That demographic are mouth breathing rednecks
I"m talking about the people you're describing. There are just many, many more "normal" people out there that get sick and tired of the [perceived] over the top media agendas, race baiting, etc. that don't even like Trump but lose their minds more over the "Libs" wanting their safe spaces.
It's reality. And I still don't think many of us get it. And that's why 2020 isn't fait accompli.
