For me this whole argument, and how well Conservatives have made it a thing, is ridiculous.

Thing is there are plenty of legitimate visas offered by the US to aliens that have several issues. As strict as it is tho get here several visa have loopholes or items that are supposed to be monitored but because INS are overwhelmed they never are.
