So is the answer open borders than ?

I've been quite clear on my belief on that before, and I think the answer is clearly yes. No one regards migration between New York and California (or Brisbane and Perth if you prefer) as a bad thing, yet until recently migration between Greece and France (or Mexico and Texas) was, purely because of this silly notion of the nation state.

I don't mind the idea, I just am not keen on persons with criminal records etc possibly being able to freely migrate.

Furthermore it may result in more one way migration than can be accommodated in some countries or states.

The first issue hasn't really been a problem in the EU, whilst the latter seems to underestimate the thought process involved in moving somewhere. It seems like it would be relatively rare to uproot oneself from your friends, family, familiarity to go somewhere in the random hope that you find a job and somewhere to live. It seems much more likely that you do so precisely because you already have those things sorted out. What's more, you will probably move somewhere you have contacts locally to help you settle in. That seems pretty logical to me.

"They want to throw rocks at our military, our military fights back," the president told reporters. "I told them to consider it a rifle. When they throw rocks like what they did to the Mexican military and police I say consider it a rifle."

Seems reasonable

So I'm a xenophobe now.

What a ridiculous assertion.

Such statements are the kind you are so critical of the opposite side doing.

What have you based it on ?

Reading comprehension isn't your strongest subject. Please reread my post and tell me where I called you a xenophobe.

Once you do, and realize your error, could yoiu take a moment to digest and respond to the actual content of my post?

Like the Irish, Italians, Scottish, Dutch and indeed English did in the States
