In my view, literally, the only political issue that is immediately in need of solving is climate change. This will never happen as there are too many idiots out there (such as Trump) and too many greedy capitalist/CEOs (who understand it is happening but don't give a sxxt) to effectively fight it.
The following issues are of dire importance: sexism, fascism, racism, income disparity, etc., etc., but all will be "solved" in about 40 years if we don't address the climate. It is as simple as that. And Trump's massively idiotic statement that the climate "will change back" is ridiculous.
But strangely no single politician, on either side of the aisle, wants to run on climate change as the major issue as it concerns national security, economics, and social livelihoods despite the fact that climate change will drastically affect all of these things and more. One can understand this, since election cycles are every 2, 4, 6 years, but the window on drastic change is still about 20-80 years out. Gotta love psychological myopia.
