Of course he does. USA's intelligence services could cost him dearly financially...as would shunning Saudi Arabia and/or Russia. It's all about protecting his personal financial interests.

No way he'll run in 2020, even if he had half a chance of winning again. He'll agree to basically retire from public life and never make statements fanning flames about any successors in exchange for not being a impeached.

Not so sure about his bonehead kids or closest allies though, a few of them will be in prison before the decade's out.

Not surprised in the least. Graham will say whatever is most politically expedient at any given moment. When it comes time he'll about face and fall in line with Trump.

He (along with an impressively large segment of the GOP) have killed the part of themselves that feels shame or embarrassment. It's amazing what you can do and say when you do that.

That is just it though, if he is going to about face (which we both believe he will) what political benefit does he gain by taking the contrary position now? Playing a contrast to the fawning Pompeo?

Because in this moment, when the story is high profile, it's better to be on the side of criticising those responsible.

And Trump demonstrably doesn't care what anyone has said in the past so long as they eventually bend the knee to him.
