Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Uh yeah, he was on the ticket that the law was broken in order to elect. Also Manafort sort of hand-picked him as running mate. He’s screwed. The only difference between him and all these other criminals is he at least knows not to run his mouth.

The best reason to flip the House or we end up temporarily with Paul Ryan or whomever the R House picks for speaker after Paul's term ends...knowing that person would/could soon become president.

I'm a bit concerned about it as his base are religiously supportive of him, and if he were to be impeached, what the reaction would be there.
We are so divided that right/wrong, truth/lies don't exist anymore. It's sad and I don't see a way out of it. I cannot think of one thing Americans can unify behind, except maybe that Chick-fil-A should be open on Sundays

I'm not entirely sure what all of this means.

Is what Trump did illegal, and what are the consequences to him and his presidency?
If Trump did what Cohen said he did then yes, it is illegal although as a sitting president he likely can’t be indicted.

Even if he was, say after he left office, whether he would be found guilty is another matter - John Edwards was tried on similar charges of illegal payments to his mistress during his presidential run and was found not guilty although his case was significantly helped by the fact the two people who paid off his mistress couldn’t testify (one was dead and the other too infirm) whereas Cohen seems positively eager to dish the dirt.

With the current makeup of congress he won’t be impeached and even if Dems win both House and Senate in the midterms I’d still put the chances as low on it being successful, at least on this violation.

However Cohen has been his longtime lawyer and knows a lot about Trump’s business and the illegal reimbursements to him come directly from the Trump organization which is likely to bring in their CFO into some legal jeopardy. If you believe a real estate firm, typically not the most ethical of businesses, with many dealings with dodgy countries and headed by Trump hasn’t got some pretty large skelotons in its financial cupboard you are a more trusting person than I am.

Add in Manafort considering his options re co-operation plus Trump’s lies and obstruction of the investigation, let alone his past treatment of women, I doubt this is the last illegal thing Trump will be accused of doing.

Crossing fingers for State charges

I know it's such a small small chance but the Republicans need to lose complete control of Congress this November. At least completely neuter Trump for the last two years if not able to impeach him.

And then in 2020 impeach Gorsuch and probably Kavanaugh.

And statehood for DC and a new Voting Rights Act

History will not look kindly on what Obama did to the Democratic Party

I definitely think that is what is spooking Cohen, along with being upset Trump hasn’t supported him as he expected.

Meanwhile looks like Manafort might be getting a federal pardon...

New MAGA line will be praising tax cheats to own the libs.

I don't get this. There are literally tapes of Trump telling Cohen to set up a shell Corp to pay off women.

"Nothing matters anymore"
