go ahead, admire him all you want.
Denigrate Obama all you want.
you just come off as daft.

Don’t be silly, the guy is a pillock but just happens to get a few things right amongst the chaos he creates. I’ll refrain from writing about Obama as he’s not worth the effort.
The EU believe Trump to be daft, but the EU will be moving heaven and earth, obviously without showing it, to accommodate his wishes for a more level trading field.
He is not a Politician, his off the wall approaches and the mistakes he makes on a regular basis unnerve regular politicians and civil servants, and this is his strength as no one can predict what he will do next. He probably is the greatest wum, as I said.....

It is beyond my comprehension one would defend someone who intentionally sows chaos (or does so thru sheer incompetence) by claiming he/she gets it right on occasion.

And who does he actually get it right for? The wealthy. The average person might be lucky to see a scrap.
The incredibly wealthy.

Have seen at least two interviews with farmers from the Midwest. Both voted for the POTUS. Both soybean/corn farmers with thousands of acres of farmland. Each stated the industry has worked for many, many years to create a stable market in China for export and $10 a bushel for soybeans is what is needed in order to make a profit. Before the tariff, soybeans were traded at $11+. It is now around $8 and change. Most don't think of farmers as wealthy. These guys are. 2000 acres of prime farmland in, say, Nebraska is worth $6,000,000 or more.

A guy I know is a small-town car dealer. Business was already difficult but with the new tariffs he's now making inquiries with other dealers in hopes of selling and having a hard time finding a buyer.

By any measure these folks I describe are wealthy, with more money than 95% of the American population will see in their lifetimes. And they voted for Cheeto Mussolini. I'm only hoping they now realize they were duped by a con man. Not a businessman, a con man.

If anyone has the data would be interested to see how many farmers are holding out of getting into contracts based on current price hoping for a rebound.

If there are a lot then harvest, coming just before the midterms, could well be very interesting if the trade war is still going on.

I’m sorry it’s beyond your comprehension, but creating chaos is actually a very smart and valid strategy on occasions......
