Do you mean "resembling an accurate result" in the Stalinist sense of of "it only matters who counts, not who votes"? Not sure where you're going.

That vid may be dumb to you, but that vid is dynamite. There isn't an ounce of Republican content in it. It's just editing. It's what politics has done from time immemorial. You're not going to be able to shrug that off as a "cherry picking vid". Here you can, but a footy forum is not much of a measure. I just put content in this forum to keep a piece of what you're not seeing out here to be considered. I think we both agree that Trump is an unequaled something or another. If you enjoy the echo chamber, I can just butt out. If what you are consuming is an echo chamber, you might think about changing that. You might learn something you don't know.

Things are getting out of hand, and I've been disappointed with it for a long time. Let me go off on an angle and posit this:

If Trump were to be laying the groundwork for a Putinesque takeover of the American system, how could his minions better prepare the public for changes to our system to increase Trump's authority than to distribute the video we're talking about? What if any violence were to break out supposedly supporting the #Resistance against any of his supporters? How hard would it be to gin said activity up if Trump is as ruthless and unprincipled as you imagine? Yeah, yeah, it's my fault then if he's that evil, I'll even concede that. Then what kind of executive action might Trump take?

Just consider what I've said. Could all this be playing right into his hands? We both know there's another James Hodgkinson walking around out there somewhere, and there are too many targets to protect. The folks on the right have had to think about the armed crazy guy for many decades.

The people in this ad are like children playing with matches on top of a gas stove. They can't possibly be that dumb, can they?

Yeah, well while outrage might be “the fuel” (i’m fully aware the only operating principle of the modern day Republican is to “own the libs” - sometimes outrage is the only appropriate response.

Thankfully it looks like it will be translated into action in November, because THAT is the only solution. The Republican Party as it exists needs to be utterly destroyed at the ballot box. It needs to be cut out of American politics like one would excise a particularly threatening tumour.

Sounds dramatic, but it is the truth.
