No, it absolutely is not.

I've seen a lot of this on social media over the last 24 hours, and it is (not unusually, for the right) utterly intellectually dishonest.

Nobody chooses the colour of their skin (or their gender, their sexual orientation, etc etc). To single them out or treat them differently for that is abhorrent.

Sanders CHOOSES to work for Trump. She CHOOSES to go out, day in day out and lie to reporters and by extension the population. She CHOOSES to prop up this administration which is veering more and more towards authoritarianism. She could stop it tomorrow if she wanted to. She doesn't. She chooses it.

Typical. Blame Sanders. Don't address the attitude and behaviour of the owner and staff which regardless of your political views I wouldn't agree with.

You'd be the first to whinge if you went to an establishment and before being served you were asked to state your political/religious stance.



Umm people are choosing what gender they want nowadays. The left are completely supportive of this.

Anyway that 'some preacher' your referring to is Martin Luther King. Ain't just 'some preacher' !

Explain to me how not serving someone because they differ to you in some way is not the type of behaviour which lends itself to that which continues to be fought against today. Of course it isn't the same level as discrimination based or skin/sex etc, it's the belief that one accepts such behaviour I think is of concern.

The Democrats are actually the ones who are showing crazy levels of aggression -- even physical aggression -- and forcing their views on the entire nation on influential tv shows such as Jimmy Fallon and in the majority of newspapers which are meant to be neutral. Then you see things like innocent White House workers being hustled out of restaurants when they're just trying to enjoy a meal with their families, etc. It seems like simply being a Republican automatically means you're a racist child abusing women hater in the States nowadays.

I am just pointing out what I perceive to be the case based on limited knowledge by the way. I don't notice the Republicans continuing a 18-month witch hunt against their rivals and carrying out an endless smear campaign against their rivals across all forms of media.

You'd think it was Donald who had disgraced his name by carrying out highly illegal acts while in power, when it fact it was Hilary Clinton whose actions should have led to her being thrown in prison for a long time. Yet one is seen as a saint, the other as a monster.

I'd stay away from all forms of politics if I was in the USA. I mostly can't stand the Republicans due to their extreme religious beliefs (Mike Pence as a good example) and appalling stance on gun laws, and I couldn't support the Democrats if they had anything to do with the Clinton family.

Again, just summarising some thoughts based on what I read.

It's tough up here on this high horse, believing that kids shouldn't be routinely separated from their parents on the basis of a "crime" that is the legal equivalent to a traffic violation; thinking that one of the richest, most advanced countries in the world would be better off spending tax payer billions on healthcare rather than MORE military investment; and that government employees whose job is to inform the public shouldn't go out on a daily basis and lie through their teeth.

Yeah. I don't agree with what's happening with the illegal immigrants' children, but I don't see it as a cut-and-dry racial issue. I don't agree with the healthcare system, but there again it's been ruined for years. I certainly don't agree with the gun laws. I think all governments and their employees like to bend the truth a lot of the time. I suppose most of the time their truth-bending isn't highlighted as much, as this witch hunt is unprecedented.

But let's not claim that it's worse than under the Democrats. On that point, did any of those millionaire celebrities actually leave the country once Donald got into power, as they threatened to do?

All governments bend the truth, yes. Trump's outright lies on a more-than-daily basis. Check out any independent fact checking site and you'll see the rate pegged at WAY more than other administrations.

You call it a "witch hunt" by the way (nicely ripped out of the Trump/Fox News playbook, bravo)... Witch hunt implies a lack of substance, which is interesting considering the investigation has currently racked up:

105 criminal charges against 23 defendants
5 (possibly 6) guilty pleas
1 prison sentence (plus Manafort being remanded for breaking his bail conditions)

There must be a lot of witches in them there hills.
