Tbf there are people who ICE can protect both citizens and immigrants alike from, Trump greatly exaggerates their numbers but those drug smugglers/sex traffickers/gang members do exist.

It is just that their mandate has expanded to include people like this guy who I can’t see is of any potential harm to anyone.

I saw this reported a few days ago. The US haven't exactly been staunch supporters since it came into being. Apparently Bush refused to join when it started in 2006 and the US only became a member when Obama became president. That in itself is probably enough of a reason for Trump to pull out. It's all about bias against Israel, apparently.

This is horrible and disgusting and makes me sick to my stomach. Anyone who supports this, including “fellow” Blues, is reprehensible and should be called out as such.

Most of us can say horrible things as an impulse at times and deeply regret them but to mock the trauma of separation in a situation like that all for partisanship is something I find very difficult to understand. But then he willingly and vocally supported the guy who did this so I guess I should not be surprised.
