Trump lavishing praise on world dictators whilst dissing our allies and now this - authoritarianism is all the rage in GOP circles at the moment

These people seriously have had their irony glands surgically removed...

"COMPLACENCY IS OUR ENEMY.... Just go with everything this guy says, unquestioningly..."

The number of times I’ve agreed with Joe Walsh’s posts recently is very disconcerting

Edit Although I will also point out that Hillary bears the ultimate responsibility for initially making such a dumb decision on internet security that triggered the investigation in the first place despite many people who should have also known better seemingly makingmthe same mistake.

Wtf?

Why should Mueller be suspended, even if you believe Strzok’s bias caused him to make judgments in favour of Clinton and adverse to Trump he was kicked off Mueller’s team as soon as the special prosecutor was aware of the emails.

And the only material effect Strzok’s bias caused that we are of aware of so far is that he might have delayed the re-opening of the investigation into Clinton via the Weiner emails - a delay that almost certainly helped Trump and hurt Clinton as the review of those emails was conducted so close to the election.

And under what charge is Strzok to be jailed and why doesn’t he get the benefit of due process like Manafort, Gates and Cohen? There is an FBI agent out there whose pro Trump bias meant he broke laws in reporting to Guiliani that the Clinton Foundation was under investigation which Rudy then broadcast - what treatment does Rudy suggest for that agent and himself?

If Strzok had animus towards Trump that would effect his professionalism to that degree why didn’t he leak that Trump and a whole host of his associates were under active investigation for their meetings with Russians and Trump’s own son had met with Russian operatives in Trump tower in July yet lied about any contacts - sounds like a way more effective “we’ll stop him” plan than not prioritizing looking into Weiner’s laptop that didn’t hold anything dodgy anyway (at least re classified materials rather than Weiner sexts ).

Mueller was assigned because Trump fired Comey. There were valid reason to fire Comey, as this IG report made clear, but I’ll bet you a bottle of fine Russian vodka it wasn’t for those procedural reasons laid out in Rosenstein’s memo and had far more to do with Trump’s admissions to Lester Holt.

The Florida swamp seems pretty lively

In the swamp, nature is in control and corruption is only a word. I think more folks will be interested in the FBI than the Trump Foundation's machinations right now. If I'm wrong, he wouldn't be President. Unless the Russians did it, of course. That must be the answer.

Gotta go, as 500+ pages is a lot to read. Lucky for me, I can read and watch footy at the same time. Who will be running on the quote highlighted below this November? People get riled when you call them lazy.

The Justice Department inspector general released a 500-plus page report on misconduct by FBI agents and DOJ staff working on the Hillary Clinton investigations. Among many other topics, the IG report documents the content of texts and instant messages sent by FBI agents.

The communications show favoritism towards Hillary in the agents' personal views, but also in how various aspects of the investigation should be conducted. They also reveal a rancid contempt towards Donald Trump as well as Americans who support him.

The report concludes that FBI agents on the Hillary investigation most likely engaged in misconduct by allowing their politics to manifest in the investigation process:

We believe the messages discussed in this chapter -- particularly the messages that intermix work-related discussions with political commentary -- potentially implicate provisions in the FBI’s Offense Code and Penalty Guidelines, which provides general categories of misconduct for which FBI employees may be disciplined.

The texts and communications by the investigative team reveal contempt toward Trump and mainstream America.

One FBI agent on the Hillary investigation wrote in an FBI text:

"Trump’s supporters are all poor to middle class, uneducated, lazy POS."

"POS" is the agent's acronym for "Pieces Of S***."

But but the Trump campaign met with the Russians, Trump is racist, Trump gets along with dictators better than our allies. The list could go on.

Personally I think clear evidence of a president using charity money illegally is quite interesting but each to his own.

If the FBI agents broke “FBI offense Code and Penalty guidelines” by discussing politics at work then i am sure they will be disciplined snd so they should be. Although tbh it sounds like a minor charge virtually everyone would be guilty of much like swearing at work - btw are you equally interested in the views of the FBI agents who were involved in looking into the Clinton Foundation and who leaked the existence of that to Guiliani? I’m sure they had nothing but praise for Clinton herself and her voters.

Surely the important thing is if those politcal views affected the investigation at all either in whether it was illegally leaked, or affected how it was conducted or the conclusions it drew. As far as I’ve seen the IG concluded that in the YME investigation that it didn’t.
