Trump seems to have completely abandoned his previous distancing that Carter Page and George Papadopolous were fringe advisors or “coffee boys”.

His other argument “I didn’t fire Comey to obstruct justice as I was always open to an investigation of Flynn or anyone else in my campaign” never seemed very convincing.
