The Treaty of Versailles was broken almost immediately by Germany, and German rearmament led directly to WW2.

Yes, and the point you are spectacularly failing to grasp is that the Iranians haven't broken this agreement.

I see that Israel is now preparing for a possible attack from Iran. If that happens there will be no Iranian nuclear issue as Israel will just flatten the place.....

One would have thought that would be pretty good evidence to back up the statement that Iran isn't going to attack Israel, then.

I think there are all kinds of motives at play, and I never, ever ignore the possibility that Israel is telling half a story to get the US to back Israel's play. But I don't think any primary motivation here is to distract.

What do you think this is a distraction from, anyway? Record-low unemployment? Tax surpluses? Landmark North Korea success? If you think Trump is going to overshadow legitimate advances in US interests because of Stormy Daniels or a wrapping-up Mueller investigation, you've got to be kidding.
lollollol
You’ve moved beyond parody now.

Wait a minute... is that you, Rudy?

The thing is that this isn't "Israel's" play either - there are large parts of Israeli society (including a former head of Mossad who said this whilst he was in office) that think attacking Iran is idiotic.

The people coming up with the nonsense is Netanyahu and the idiots around him, and the Bush-era idiots around Bolton.

Mueller's investigation is wrapping up? I missed that news.

It’s looking like there will be a major conflict in the Middle East now, and while Iran will want to pull in Russia and China they will publicly make a big fuss but privately do nothing of any substance. Iran will have a choice, continue, do a real deal, or be hit.......

Pressure is on Trump and Iran now. Iran knows they can't make a dash for it. They also don't want to spend too much time under sanctions. Trump knows these things too, and Trump should know he'll be rightfully excoriated if he fails to stick to the plan (renegotiation).

Iran can't spend too much time under sanctions? They were under sanctions for years before this.

“They will enrich uranium more than before”....meaning that they were doing it anyway. It looks like Israel and Trump were right on this and that Europe, as usual, were just looking at business opportunities........

they were allowed to enrich small amounts of uranium as part of the deal, under inspection

That is me making a prediction. We'll see. The regime is obviously already feeling some pressure. Do they risk increased ire by trying to outlast the sanctions (again)? The counterpoint to that is that new sanctions could "re-legitimize" the government, but I don't think that'll substantially improve the government's leverage.

You seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that the sanctions now will be like the sanctions then; they wont be because most of the rest of the world will not be putting new sanctions on them.
