I see that Israel is now preparing for a possible attack from Iran. If that happens there will be no Iranian nuclear issue as Israel will just flatten the place.....

The thing is that this isn't "Israel's" play either - there are large parts of Israeli society (including a former head of Mossad who said this whilst he was in office) that think attacking Iran is idiotic.

The people coming up with the nonsense is Netanyahu and the idiots around him, and the Bush-era idiots around Bolton.

The counterpoint to that is that new sanctions could "re-legitimize" the government, but I don't think that'll substantially improve the government's leverage.
