So if Mueller's team, in the course of investigating potential collusion and interference, uncover evidence of other crimes (whether obstruction, financial crimes, whatever) should it just be ignored?
Of course not, see above.

Why do you think the collusion angle has striked out - as I say it is incredibly early compared to other similar investigations and we still have no idea what lines of enquiry have been set in motion by Papadopoulos, Gates and Flynn’s co-operation not to mention that Cohen documents who is on the record as having very few clients other than Trump and who the SDNY haven’t even been given permission to look at yet! Cohen was the guy who did a lot of foreign dealmaking for Trump, including the proposed Russian hotel, so I think that is still very much within original scope to look at.I have no choice but to wait and see what happens. I do think, however, there should be some type of end game when the collusion angle strikes out, which I believe it has.
I think people have good reason to doubt the FBI and DOJ considering everything that's happened in the last couple of years, on both sides. While having a legal background probably makes me more deferential to those entities than some, I think it's entirely reasonable to ask questions, like whether there is pressure on Mueller's team to find something significant to justify the cost and attention provided to this investigation. I've said I have no issue with the Cohen referral, so obviously I don't think "there should never be any investigation into anyone surrounding the President."
But, I also have no real inkling (other than my own suspicions about some Cohen real estate deals) about what else the investigation could be on to. Given that, and given that I think there is a sizable portion of our electorate, our agencies and our Congress that want to find something, anything, to use against Trump, I don't think it's all that realistic to expect conservatives to wait indefinitely without at least asking the questions I'm posing.
sorry, I thought you were talking about Mueller.Sure. I don't think an investigation premised on Russian interference should be a ticket to conduct a criminally-focused investigation into the entirety of the President's history, however.
I understand how criminal referrals work. But surely you can understand how open ended that can become.
"We did a criminal referral for Cohen on a campaign finance violation, found at some point that didn't actually occur, but in the process got on the scent of _______."
But that's exactly what's happening. They're following the evidence as they find it.Of course not, see above.

I also think it entirely reasonable to ask questions but you were originally posting that “Mueller needs to finish this up and let the findings speak for themselves.” which is a step beyond merely asking questions.
Btw did you have the same concerns during the investigation of Clinton emails or Benghazi?
But that's exactly what's happening. They're following the evidence as they find it.
Also, if Trump and those around him are truly innocent, maybe they should stop habitually lying every time they open their mouths - which at this point is an irrefutable fact as multiple of them have directly contradicted others (including the President contradicting HIMSELF on various occasions).
I’m not sure he even knows what the truth is any more, it is just a stream of consciousness1. Giuliana started yesterday.
2. 33000 emails.
3. We won the election in a landslide.
4. Why aren't they investigating democrats?
5. Rudy is a great guy. He just started yesterday and will get his facts straight.
Anyone who believes a word out of his mouth is an utter moron. The man can't speak truthfully.
Some mornings it hits me harder than others.
Heard a piece on the radio this morning about upcoming republican primaries across the country.
They were falling over each other to show who loves Trump more. All using terms like 'Crooked Hillary, fake news media, witch hunt..etc.'
Honestly, half the country seems brainwashed.
There's a Georgian candidate aiming a gun at a teen and a W.Virginia nut bashing the 'china man'. It's an endless stream of insanity.
