I hear what you're saying, but don't confuse the economy with the stock market. Bezos might just start his own country, though.

You can't stand their claiming to be the champion of making America great again and claiming the economy is great while at the same time creating trade wars and attacking american companies who employee a lot of people and who pay their share of taxes despite what he says.
if the dow drops its a sign of no faith in the market and if continues will put a halt to companies investing and well doing anything while its uneasy.
Share prices drop investors get nothing and companies may lay people off or put a halt on hiring temporarily.
Sure Trump himself always refers to it as a master stroke that its high when talking about his economic wins.
It's not good strategy if your aim is to entice companies and investment to attack companies you don't agree with.
The only reason he is attacking Amazon is because of Bezos link to the Washington post. I doubt he has real concerns about a company who hire a lot of people.
Even the Post office has defended amazon and called trumps criticism disingenuous and not accurate
