I'm not familar with that. You mean as an identifier? What about those of mixed-race?

Meaning something innate to a given individual, it's a standard used in our equal protection cases to determine the level of protections extended for individuals with said characteristics.

"Immutable" in US Supreme Court precedent is a a factor that entitles a protected class (black Americans, for example) to heightened protections.

What about mixed-race people?

Best to start over probably. Race is a suspect class, resulting in heightened scrutiny of laws distinguishing on the basis of race. In determining what groups get protection of being deemed a suspect class, the US courts look to "immutability" in the sense of something attributable solely to one's birth (not religious faith, for example). So with regard to mixed-race individuals, while there are issues relating to mixed race folks in our equal protection cases, it's really not connected to that immutability standard. Primarily because "race" is the suspect class, not any particular race.

Aye, start over. A healthy number of people of all shades could mix up and make loads of beautiful mixed-race babies. Will solve itself then, hopefully.

It's a growing trend.

14% of all children born in the US in 2015 were mixed race.

That was according to pew and the last survey they did on this subject.

I would imagine that's growing too especially in states like California. Many of my friends here are mixed race or have kids themselves of mix race. Some of my wife's cousins are married to latin americans and they are white.

I think a sure sign of a truly progressive society is when a woman of darker skin can freely choose to be with a man from a different culture without fear of repercussion.

We complain a lot but we can be proud of our Western societies that for the most part this can happen.

What about mixed-race people?

My own quick reading the of the EEOC webpage is that they define race not only as ancestry but by looks. As a hypothetical example, 50% of Obama's genome comes from a white mother, the other 50% from a black father, yet a court could rule in his favor in terms of a discrimination suit because he "looks black" and was discriminated against because of his looks. But I'm not a lawyer, so take what I say with grain of salt.

I'm married to a wolf in sheep's clothing, so I've always been ahead of the curve.

Obviously I disagree that it is obtuse. We should probably
Those are the exact words Dana Loesch used whilst going on the offensive against Shannon Watts.

Also curious why you didn't mention the name of the "Jewish writer". Or post a link?

Is it because the "Jewish writer" is a well known conservative columnist who appears on fox new regularly and has been known to do op ed for the NRA also.

I am not excusing anyone who attacks or tries to defame anyone online by the way. If Shannon Watts got ahead of herself then well she is open to criticism.

But looking it up the only ones that think this is something are conservative groups. They are the ones attacking Watt's since she made whatever remarks triggered them.

Whats mad is you stated your post saying how schools deny free speech and then get upset that one woman dislikes another woman and made comments about her online because of her political and gun views.

Both women need to tone it down and relax a little. Ironically both of them have been threatened by the same/similar people at some point over the last few months.
“Waged a Twitter campaign” is a MASSIVE overstatement. But then I’m quite sure Pettiflogger knows that.

Perhaps rather than discuss banking regulations the Senate could dicsuss ways to address the drug crisis - that Midwest number in particular is distressing.
From July 2016 through September 2017, opioid overdoses increased for:

  • Men (↑30%) and women (↑24%)
  • People ages 25-34 (↑ 31%), 35-54 (↑36%), and 55 and over (↑32%)
  • Most states (↑ 30% average), especially in the Midwest (↑70% average)

And last week, the Florida House turned down the chance to debate gun control and instead declared porn to be a public health risk. I'm glad we're focusing our energies (and hopes and prayers) where they can best be used.

I hope they were talking about bad porn as opposed to the other kind.
