With the large presence of US forces in the area, as well protection responsibilities in Japan, I don't see that the US can realistically not participate in some role in this.

Good point. Maybe Trump's bluster is just what the situation needs. Not everything can be achieved in a dignified mutually-respectful manner. Here's hoping however it happens that there's a positive outcome for the Korean folk and no needless casualties.

I think that Trump's bluster is suited to few, if any, situations, but, then my viewpoint on that is probably reasonably obvious.

Regardless, I'll toss in my hopes and prayers for a positive outcome, as long as we all are willing to put in the work to make it happen along with those hopes & prayers.

I'm using immutability in the way US appellate courts, the EEOC, etc. have traditionally done so.
