90% of Republicans voted for Trump, he pulled back those who had voted for Obama in the last election. The Democrats failed to get black people to vote for them in the numbers required, same for the Hispanic/Latino bracket (my families bracket). For the white vote which makes up 70% down 2% from the last election he hit around 50%.I mean it's ridiculous. I live in Washington State...the one in the top left corner. It looks really red doesn't it? Vast swaths of rural areas.
Approximately 5.2 of the 7.2 millions people living in Washington State are in the blue areas.
Make no mistake about this election. It is a myth that Trump mobilized Republicans. He's gotten less votes than McCain and Romney. He mobilized the far right and many who would have likely not voted.
The failure in the campaign for the Democrats is that Hillary was unable to get folks in the key battleground states to the polls. She wins Michigan if Detroit turns up...didn't happen. She won that County in a landslide...but far few folks were arsed to vote.
Both candidates are receiving less votes...she's just receiving far fewer...even if it's still more than Trump.
They have taken the house, senate and Presidency, the truth is this is a disaster for for the democrats.
