Republicans control the houses and are going to get a Supreme Court nomination, thanks to the disgraceful way they acted over Obama's nomination and there are 2 other elderly liberals who are going to have to stay just to stop the Supreme Court being awash with right wingers.

He might not have the full support of his party, but they are not going to impede him in the way they did to Obama.

That isn't how Trump won, though.

What he did (and what Corbyn did in both of his leadership election campaigns) is to point out that things are bad and he will make them right; he was boosted by HRC saying that everything is ok and that you can't risk change. When an effective majority of people agree that things are bad, its a winning strategy.

And a lot of people will always vote for change if they feel aggrieved/hard-done by (rightly or wrongly).

I really hope all those celebrities that came out and said they'd leave the US if Trump won, would just hurry the eff up and get out then! Let's see how many of them have the minerals to go thru with it - Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer - I'm talking to you! Off you go to Canada then....

Yes, I'm surprised (like most of the general public) but the people have spoken....if they don't like the result, then they have to wait to change it! Influence their friends, family, colleagues etc... next time and perhaps they can effect change again.

Low as my opinion is of Trump, he won it fair and square, time for the country to get behind him! After all, they voted for him!
