Also, the wikileaks stuff is massively overblown.

If my work emails were hacked, it would read so similar. We make a ton of decisions and bounce the positives and negatives off each other before actually publishing what we agree upon as the right plan of action.

Isn't that why we love email at work? A place to share ideas, dispute them, decide on what the right message is, and then publicly share the direction our organizations are working towards...the leaked ones are just so mundane to me.

If I were running for POTUS, I'd definitely want to discuss anything I was going to publish on Twitter with the folks I trust in my inner circle.

Having worked in politics before, all the leaked emails show is how politicos talk to each other. It's just the sausage factory, and in fact I'm kind of surprised how tame it all is.

The only big "bombshell" should honestly be considered a positive if you ask me, the bit about how Hillary says she has trouble relating to the daily struggles of middle and working class people after being wealthy for the past couple decades.

Yeah, it's REALLY HARD to relate to people of different socioeconomic status. The fact that Hillary is aware of this speaks volumes about how much she actually cares. She's actively trying to empathize if she knows that.

Anybody who's rich and says they understand the common person's plight is lying to your face or only just won the lottery yesterday.

You can refute them and detail why they are lies, because just going 'they are lies' is a cop-out and suggests you can't counter any of the points because you're not knowledgable enough about them.

I read somewhere that most of them were already released publicly, many years ago.

While I agree that doing things legally is preferable, it is difficult for unskilled labor to get into this country legally.

The U.S. has bountiful resources to absorb more population. We have land, we have surpluses of food, we have natural resources and technical resources. There is no good reason not to allow for greater numbers of legal immigration rather than engaging in hostile rhetoric that divides us as a nation and builds ill will towards us from the global community.

This is not a situation in which the U.S. citizens will suffer from a more streamlined and open immigration policy. At least not if it is well worked and we can keep immigrants from being just as poor, disenfranchised, and disillusioned as they were at home.

We as a nation cannot afford to become more insular than we already are. The national identity has a real problem with arrogance and respect. It is hurting this country to treat other nations as inferior. It only follows that continuing to put up walls against the rest of the world will simply exacerbate those problems and lead to more issues in the future.
