Probably the worst time to make that comment as he was awful when he came on. He was out injured though. No need to throw shade at Beto who actually scored as opposed to Dom who we conceded with the second he came onto the field.

Its not like Dom is a great "footballer" either. If anything, Dom is average at best. His holdup play is hit or miss and maybe that is what he is alluding to. Dom is not a fantastic dribbler or passer by any means. Just a weird statement.

I can’t wait for the days when we don’t have to argue and defend whatever a player like Beto or Calvert-Lewin is better. Our two top strikers have barely any goals when compared to the top 6 clubs. We’re arguing in the muck while the rest at the top laugh at us and improve. My opinion? On a team wanting to play in Europe, neither player should be any more than a sub.

People say he’s our best striker since Lukaku, but that’s such a low bar.

Good strikers cost money. We need to stop thinking £15 or £20 million should get you a good striker, it’s embarrassing. It doesn’t.

The likes of Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford all have higher fees paid for strikers than our record (still Lukaku)
