But we dont want to be one dimensional, do we?
It takes more than one player to be one dimensional.

DCL is not great in one on one situations, I always feel the keeper has the advantage.

However, he is a real handful for tgdd we centre backs. Great at winning and laying off to bring others in. He is good in the air and is a decent enough striker. A Rideout or Campbell.

What we actually need is someone who complements his style of play to play with him. I don’t think DCL and Richarlison play particularly well together.

If Ali finds his old form, he could be the glue that makes them gel.

I dont think he's a particularly good team player in that he can link up with team mates. He can snap up a chance in the box.

IMO he is extremely limited as a player. If we sold him I dont think he;d be that hard to replace overall.

Where can we find top class strikers who only ever want to play for Everton?
Or will players always want to move to other clubs?
From Tommy Lawton to Rooney, Lukaku and now DCL apparently. It will always happen, just support them whilst they are here, like some support contraversal managers blindly…

DCL is a very good player, and we've seen in the past how hard a good striker is to replace.

However, as long as we don't lose both in the window, taking 65-70m for either of him or Richarlison could be a huge boon, or would be if I wasn't so eternally pessimistic about this club's recruitment policy.

If the Arsenal interest is real, they could be pretty desperate come the summer and willing to spend big after getting rid of so many players over the past year. If we can bend them over a barrel and get a big sum for Dom, we should do it.

Keane is nowhere near as bad as some make out. You make him sound like he’s on a similar level to Iwobi.
He is mate he is. He's probably worse than Iwobi to be honest, because at least Wobi doesn't constantly cost us goals with his stupid mistakes and being a general hindrance to the team. They both need bombing out of the club at our earliest convenience.

I'm afraid he is

He can look competent, as he did in early games under Carlo, but the tactics have to be built to suit his game. Needs a number 6 to sit on his toes as he is prone to getting dragged out of position. Team has to sit off and play deep as he is slow and liable to runs in behind. Not good enough on the ball to play possession football or pass it out from the back, so we need to attack on the counter or play direct to the big man.

Players like Michael Keane, in a system like that, can head the ball clear and make blocks for eternity and suddenly look like a decent player. But players like that are incredibly limiting if they can't play any other way.

Honestly the amount of times we're trying to play a high line, the ball is cleared to Big Mik and, rather than bring it down on his chest and recycle the ball back to the GK or midfield, he aimlessly puts his head through it into the centre circle, and the opposition collect it and hit on the counter... does my swede in

Nope.

Benitez got rid of James who took the piss and you all cried.

He got rid of Brands/Donachie who were underperforming and you all cried.

He sold Digne (who I like) who pulled a sickie and you all cried.

Our fanbase are a bunch of cry babies these days.

Moyes wouldn't last here long because you all want a manager who's cuddly and best mates with the players/staff.

The same players who've taken the mick out of you for years!

100% there is zero evidence that Moyes would last here or that he would be accepted and given time …. Nothing , apart from the ten years he spent here before
