The whole place is a holiday camp. Hopefully we can get a good bounce of results from the feel good factor to see us to safety. Unless there’s significant change to the squad culture though then we’ll keep having the same problems. Pretty unbelievable for any of these lads to be on holiday at the moment tbh given where we are in the table and that every day on the training ground under a new manager is vital for getting up to speed.

Wouldn't have happened under Moyes.

Moyes methods Wouldn't be accepted by our fanbase these days though.

He hasn't been out injured for 4/5 years though.

He's never been consistent, massive second half of the season for him to show he's actually good and not just a purple patch player.

Those other years he was a kid. You can look at almost any metric you want with him, he gets better year on year.

What would you expect to see from a 23 year old signed for £1.5m that you haven't?

What Moyes methods are these that you speak about? We had bad attitudes among some players during his tenure, same under Smith before him. I think you will find player's of that type in every football club.

Those players were quickly bombed out though.

If Moyes came back here and booted one or two players out with decent stats there would be murder on here!

More lies

Nope.

Benitez got rid of James who took the piss and you all cried.

He got rid of Brands/Donachie who were underperforming and you all cried.

He sold Digne (who I like) who pulled a sickie and you all cried.

Our fanbase are a bunch of cry babies these days.

Moyes wouldn't last here long because you all want a manager who's cuddly and best mates with the players/staff.

The same players who've taken the mick out of you for years!

Not sure how true it is but I read that a significant part of Lampard's review was about keeping Calvert and building a team around him. Also in order to help keep him happy Dunc's services would be retained! He has a roughly 1 in 4 strike rate if you take into account his premier league starts. With all the turmoil at Everton, I really can't blame him for looking at moving. He's on relatively small wages compared to other established strikers. Nobody is loyal anymore. Why should they be? Let's just see if Frank can establish a good relationship with him. I think many on here can't forgive him for being out for 4 months! It takes time to get up to speed again. I want to see how this develops through the rest of the season...

And replaced by yes men like Neville who told us the aim was to get 10th place. Moyes had a culture of player's happy to reach those giddy heights.

Again lies, Moyes wouldn’t be outcast on the simple basis that he’s done 11 years here so earnt respect and would have got everyone back onside

Martinez tried to change things too quickly to maintain that first season momentum and failed

Koeman blatantly couldn’t be arsed and failed

Allardyce used the club as a pay day

Silva tried to do what Martinez failed at and also failed

Ancelotti actually had us on a solid base then gradually got lazy

Benitez had zero answer to us sliding down the table and was bombed out

That may be true mate but the point stands when posters say stuff like "oh I would take Moyes back tomorrow he would sort us oot" its nonsense because those same posters wouldn't let him do what was needed to sort the mentality of the place out!

Its all sunshine and smiles now but give it 12 months from now and some of these players will be taking the mick out of the current manager.

You can change the manager all you want but if the mentality in the dressing room remains the same then the same problems will inevitably rear their heads.

You don't really know the mentality of the player's though. I think you will find that most player's play the way the manager wants them to play. There might be a perfectly legitimate reason why DCL is not on the training video. Fans see him missing and jump to every conclusion under the sun.

I'm not expecting much from him because I don't particularly rate him, just because he cost buttons doesn't mean we should over hype how good he ACTUALLY is which is what people do on here.

I don't agree hes improving all the time either, he started last year on fire and then scored hardly any goals in the last 20 odd games, he's not consistent at all, and he's what 24/25 now? He should be showing some levels of consistency, let's see how he goes for the rest of the season, not writing him off or wanting to sell him it just amazes me people think he's worth north of 80m given what we've seen from him over the years.
