latest rumour is that he has another knock and wont be playing the weekend, I don't understand why all of a sudden he is picking u so many injuries and knocks... he rarely injured prior to this season..
It can happen. Get one serious injury and then a few more happen.

Yet you backed an abysmal manager that could have taken us down.
Well done you.

I back there current manager of the club until they are no longer suitable for the role. Sadly some people think that’s after half a season, other people think it’s after two losses in a row. Hopefully Lampard gets a bit more patience from the more hysterical parts of this forum.

I mean fat stuff didnt lose 2 games in a row, he won 1 league game in 13.

In his last 5 games, prior to his sacking he lost 4 and drew 1.

But yeah, we are the problem........................................

I'm sure he will, he's not as a divisive appointment as Benitez.
As I just realised that this is the DCL thread.
If Lampard can play to his strengths I'm sure we'll see a lot more from him.

Which would be relevant if the protests had started after the bad run. They didn’t, the knives were out after a few losses. Fans looking for a silver bullet. As I said, let’s hope they are more patient in backing Lampard and aren’t whingeing as soon as he loses a game or two.

Honestly though mate, that defeat at Watford, and his ridiculous selection in the following game starting Gbamin in a 2 man midfield was where a lot of people lost faith. I seem to recall him bringing on Iwobi for Gordon who was our best player that day, in that Watford game. Sometimes you can just see a manager hasn't got a clue, and that was a big eye opener.

For me he should have gone after the derby, when he made ridiculous comments after the match, went with a 2 man midfield to accomodate Rondon, and kept playing Keane/Coleman.

In general I agree with you, we do call for sackings too quickly, but outside of Allardyce, can we honestly say any of Benitez, Silva and Koeman really had any ideas left when they went? All 3 could, and possibly would have taken us down.

The only one I thought definitely needed to go was Koeman. The conditions he operated in he had no excuse to not have success. He sold Lukaku Barkley Stones and had funds from Moshiri and had a team that looked like they couldn’t put a pass together.

Silva Allardyce and Benitez were not in the same situations and probably wouldn’t have taken us down but at the times the players created an environment of utter despair and terrible results so it’s not surprising that they were all fired. Until we get rid of that culture though of Moshiri just pulling the trigger when things get bad, the players will always have that option available to them. As soon as it gets a bit difficult for them, they know that a few losses in a row and Moshiri’s trigger finger will be twitching and the fan base will back him. We should have stuck with Silva and got rid of Keane Coleman Davies Siggurdson instead but I can see why it’s easier to replace the manager.

Let’s hope number 6 doesn’t have the same issues as the five before.
