Flemings used to be in Scotland Road just further up from Juvenal St., I think they had a shop in Walton Road as well, didn’t know their jeans ( dungarees ) were made to measure.

Not for me mate , I used to get them in Walton rd.
Give them your waist & leg sizes , they where in pigeon holes.
When you paid for them they rolled them up in brown paper.
Really popular place in its day.

Pretty sure that would result in overtraining and aggravating the injury.

Rest and recovery is an important aspect of getting back to fitness. Who cares what he does whilst resting?
