Doing a Leeds

They should be, and not only with us. Bog standard upper PL wage levels that.
The arse will fall out of the Prem soon.
Newcastle setting up not to get battered at home by City will become the norm.
Punters won't put up with that for long.
Hughes saying he knew he would get spanked at Chelsea and picking a weak side was scandalous too.

Good old Cenk sitting in his gaff in turkey, picking up about £35k a week

The dry ice fills the doorway, and like a Phoenix rising, in swoons Steve Walsh and his open cheque book.

“Lad” Steve whispers, “The big man wants you, you’re life his about to change. Will £150k seal the deal”

Cenk " i'll have to speak to my agaent and the chairman, they might want more than that"

It's been mentioned a few times today by various posters that they're concerned about where we're heading as a club. This has been largely sparked by rumours of the £145k-£150k weekly wage that we are supposedly willing to pay Cenk Tosun.

So, are you concerned that if we're offering those sort of wages (not to mention the transfer fee) for what are unproven players that we could spiral into financial difficulty and have to rapidly sell our assets and tumble out of the Premier League?

The comparisons with Leeds are worrying, it also reminds me of Tony Fernandes coming into QPR and throwing crazy money at loads of average footballers, look where that's got them.

£45m on Sigurdsson is another example of the silly money we've thrown around, vastly overpriced even in todays inflated market.

Do you have genuine concerns?

The Sigurdsson, Bolasie, Keane, Klaassen, Sandro, Lookman, and Williams deals are all deals that do not represent value for money right now. Before anyone pipes up I put Sandro in there for his reported 100k/wk wages and if Rooney hadn't chipped in with his goals and leadership I'd have chucked him in there as well as I still don't particularly feel he is worth the 150k a week we are giving him.

This isn't a trend that continue. We've been saved by a massive increase in TV broadcast revenue but for how long can we count on that bubble to keep growing?

News earlier this week from Elstone talking about how the cost planning phase of the stadium is seeing increasing amounts of financing being arranged leading to an increased total amount of debt that the club will be holding for the next 40 years after the stadium is built.

I was ecstatic at the news that we would be getting investment and a new majority owner, I thought the days of myself taking an interest in the Club accounts were over as we wouldn't have to worry.

I look at where we were before Moshiri came in here and I always felt like we were managing wage bill growth as smartly as we could. I believe this also had an added benefit of near parity in the team producing a greater team atmosphere with less big-time Charlies. I look at us now and I don't see a team, I see a group of individual mercenaries turning out for a massive pay packet. There have been many times this season where I have searched for one of them who is hurting at these poor performances like we have been when we've watched them. I don't see it mattering to the players enough, Schneiderlin and Williams are the worst for this as it seems no matter how we do they can't wait to have a little natter behind the hands with the opposition after the whistle.

What scares me now is that money is the only tool we have to differentiate our club from the likes of West Ham and Stoke. We've cocked up this year and lost Europa for this season and probably next and no longer have European football, even though it was the Europa, to attract talent to come play for us. That's just going to lead to us taking further expensive gambles and loaded with a bunch of tosh on high wages we can't move like Mancini's Man City was before they won the title (Wayne Bridge retired a very wealthy man).
