Does ITV show WC games with a 2 second delay?

HD channels are slower, I'm certain. Upstairs were cheering about 3 secs before I saw todays 2nd goal go in. This is me watching on BBC HD, terrestrial (ie off an old fashioned aerial, not streaming).

However next door cheered about a minute after I saw the 1st goal so who knows wtf is going on.

Edit - I reckon, ipad streaming next door, BBC SD upstairs. Sorted. If you want to be first, I suggest an outdoor aerial, old digibox circa 2005 and watch SD channel on a CRT TV. In black and white, if possible.

I remember watching the 2002 world cup in a loacl boozer. knockout match between Ireland and Spain. It went to pens and everybody was very tense as the first kick was about to be taken.

Just as the the ball was placed on the spot, the other end of the pub erupted. Our big screen / projector TV was about 3 seconds behind. We all ended up piling down to the back of the pub to watch him it on a crappy small TV cos was pointless watching it knowing the outcome....still lost though...

I always assumed it was something to do with HD.
