Do you rate Thomas Ince?

That wasn't quite what I was saying. He clearly thought Zaha was the better prospect, paying £15m for him and all, but you said that you wouldn't take Ince on a free?

Welllllll ........ maybe on a free as a squad member but as I said despite the media hype no-one has taken him.

Presumably the complete coaching and scouting network of the Premiership know less than some on here..... yeah that must be it.

Zaha was only bought 6 months ago, by currently the best team in the prem. Why write off a player just because he hasn't been snapped up already? Ever thought he hasn't wanted to leave Blackpool yet because he likes getting games every week, which he might have not been promised before by previous suitors?

Guesswork tho isn't it mate.

The facts are he's been mentioned for at least a year and nothing!!

From what I've seen his basic control is suspect and his decision making is slow. I saw a couple of goals that on first peek appear stormers in fact I reckon they're what peopl are erect about - on closer analysis he's mis-hitting.

Just not good enough imo.

no cuz he is not over 30 or from a ****e wigan side and very much over priced!!

so i'll swerve it thanks!

Maybe you're right mate, maybe he simply isn't that good and he'll turn out like the majority of prospects this country produces.

I just feel like if we don't take chances like this we'll never progress, to me he could in the very worst case be a decent squad player for the next 10 years who can play all across the top - is that really that bad a outcome?

Wholeheartedly agree with your general point but not for this lad.

I wouldn't be paying hard earned for him particularly when there are literally thousands of players in this "just below top player" bracket all over the globe. I've always thought if you've played football the easiest thing on earth is seeing who is a decent player can't think of anything easier tbh.

The real problem is what philosophy you have do you want a predominantly safe defensive set up like Moyes or a more creative, pacey, attacking outfit - hopefully like our Bobby!!

So buying Ince would be a defensive Moyes set up would it? Surely it would be adding to an attacking outfit, hopefully like our Bobby!

Hmm, I just wish we could afford to spend that £8m like it's nothing and see what happens but I guess at this rate we'll never be in a position to do so. It's just that when we're being linked with the likes of Kone and McGeady, I'd much rather see that money spent on Ince but it depends who else we can really get.

18 mis hits in 44 league games then? He must be the luckiest player on the planet either that or you could be talking out ya hoop

Not been following the news that closely for a couple of weeks, but didn't Cardiff have an £8 million offer for Ince accepted by Blackpool?
If this was rejected by the player, does this say that he has the same strutting, arrogant, big-bollock attitude problems of his RS father?

Maybe he doesn't want to relocate to Cardiff, it's a big deal for a lot of players having to move to a **** hole even if they can afford to buy a mansion
