I knew he was gone once he scored against Croatia in the euros.
Not for me, Rooney threw in a transfer request the last week of the transfer window, knew we were skint and would have no time to sign players, we finished the season before in 17th with the lowest points total of a team to ever survive in the PL.
He did the above knowing full well we could be and likely relegated, never forgive him for that because he was one of us.
Furthering his career? GTF.
Who are you?
I love Rooney.
I like a pup believed and was so proud and I wouldn't be England's biggest fan.
Him leaving hurt, the way he left though utterly unforgivable.
Coming from the backwater country known as Poland, where everyone can't wait to move to England.
Your initial post gives you no credit, your reply causes confusion.
Have no idea what Polsnd had to do with your quote about Rooney.
A Polish Evertonian was the subject - not a fat Scouser turned Manc
CONTRADICTION ALERT!!!!!
Maybe he waited as long as possible to see some signings comming in (sound familiar?) But they didn't? we as you said had the lowest points without getting relegated the season before.
But yet you say he Defo didn't do it to further his career?
But yet his career was!
It was not a good snarling atmosphere. It was loads of drunks spitting hate and it was vile. Never been to a game like that before or since. Was seriously way over the top. It was nothing to be proud of believe me.a good snarling atmosphere is exactly what we should bring to goodison
I want that atmosphere every home game
Would be interested in the truth one day. We did not have to let him go but were desperate for cash. A firm 'never' would have been the end of that, but the club did not fight as hard as it did with Stones for example. We lost a great player but the club took one step nearer survival and became a better team the year after. It was a bit much expecting such a young lad to carry the side..and we did. By the way if you remember the euros before he left, he was a world class player then and for many years at Utd. Rooney could have played for anyone in his prime and never been out of his depth.I meant I don't care about him furthering his career. He never went on to be a truly world class player in my eyes anyway. If he waited a little bit longer he could have qualified for the champions league with his boyhood club don't see how that could have damaged his career.
In my eyes he did the dirt on the club, players leave fair enough, to do what he did in the final week of the transfer window to us is unforgivable, he left us to be relegated for all he cared.
If people want to back a player over the club, that's fair enough, I won't be budging.
The subject is Wayne Rooney, not the xenophobic Polish poster, please stay on topic.
