Whats even more damaging is using racism to try score cheap points on the internet kind sir.

Leave it guys. The point has been made.

I’m sure @ForeverBlue92 will read more carefully next time since his benefit of doubt has been used

Sorry I just want to add one thing, and then I will 100% drop it, this is certainly not about point scoring on the internet, this is about making people be accountable for what they post online and the damaging repercussions, something FB92 fails to see.

Of course I do, I did not read the brick travels tweet I read the brick pubs tweet about the pictured gentleman shouldn't be getting a ticket and assumed thats what the uproar was about.

I do not condone what the Brick Travel posted - disgraceful stuff and should be in hot water.

Let the children use racism to point score.
You see, this playing both ends against one another significantly suggests arguing in bad faith.

You saw fit to weigh in and cast your opinions, very wrongly I may add, and try for a jugular or two yourself. Having been so widely called out and then reminded of a tightrope by a lady I wouldn't mess about with you've since climbed down. You've admitted a sort of half assed assumption, which totally conflicts your multiple previous posts, and then followed u[p in more bad faith re children scoring points.

Now I'm up for a laugh with the best and worst of em, but you'd clear this up nicely if you simply said you are sorry for getting it ghastly wrong and will think in future before throwing slurs around. That'd go down a treat.

In your own time.

I did not aim a racist tweet at you or another supporter. I have also not endorsed any racist tweet aimed at you or another supporter.

Therefore you are not owed any apology.

I did however misread a chain of tweets which I have already acknowledged (three times now just for clarification).

I suggest you take this with the sincerity that is intended and not use such mishaps as a weapon to score points on the internet with. I hope Brick Travel apologise to the fan pictured, the real victim in this not yourself or Hinchcliffes Corner.

Whilst the narrative is of course unsavoury, its important not to create a moral panic and give ammunition to the wider media to paint our fans in general in a poor light.

I imagine a good majority of our fans and those from other more "local" supported clubs have at one stage referenced Anfield, Old Trafford etc. being filled with "day trippers" which will often be based predominantly on the phsyical appearance / dialect of those in and around the ground.

It is wrong to assume the fan in the picture isn't local, it is however unfortunately something that isn't specific to the Brick or our fanbase - I have witnessed plenty of fans from numerous clubs make reference to the rows of chinese / asian fans sat in the front rows of grounds like Anfield, Emirates, Old Trafford etc.

The unfortunate reality is that US owners are buying up PL clubs because the league is going down the road of Americanised "franchises". The local fans have to accept that before long you wont be getting a ticket unless you're wealthy. I assume season tickets will slowly become a thing of the past.

Another reason why I care little if we go down as top flight football in this country just isn't the same as it once was.

Your defence of a very blatantly overtly racist broadcast is why you are here. One micron away from a report.

hubba hubba hubba.

You've completely missed the point my friend, you're offended because the tweet is aimed at one of our "own".

I doubt you've ever questioned when the majority of fans call Liverpool supporters "Norwegians" or call Utd fans with half and half scarfs speaking with a Dublin accent "day trippers". Whats the difference ?

If you wish to bring hell down on the author of the tweet you yourself must ensure you're a purist otherwise you come across somewhat as lacking integrity even if your critique is valid.

The biggest problem that I can see is that someone has taken a picture of some innocent individual without their consent. Regardless of the unsavoury tone of the tweet, its completely unacceptable and a "snide" thing to do.
Quite the explanation of an assumption here like.

:/

People in todays society Malfosse will often choose to be offended when and where it suits them.

Tens of thousands of EFC fans be it in person or online will laugh at LFC's local season ticket numbers being low and point towards them being "out of towners" is that prejudicial ?

Many of us have at one point called the RS "Norwegians" or "Scandinavians" is that not xenophobic in nature ?

I have often viewed retweeted imagery on social media and on GOT of the Kop on match day being full of Chinese fans recording the game on their Ipads, we all know the undertone intended with that right ?

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

From what I had seen earlier, my judgement of the situation for what its worth is that this man or woman is of the outdated belief of football clubs solely serving its local community.

In essence, the tweet is born not from racism, but from the nostalgic view held by many local football fans of how football is, i.e. for the local, working class labour voting man who sits in the same seat that his dad and grandad both sat in.

I dont think that makes it racist, anti middle class or anti tory/lib dem - its just the football equivalent of the older generation who harp on about the "good old days" in sadness as they witness how society changes/evolves.

Football is currently evolving and often local fans feel cut off from the club they grew up supporting.

You have clubs like Fulham building a swimming pool into their stand to attract wealthy tourists, clubs like Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool are essentially tourist attractions these days. Many Man City fans who once laughed at Utd for having tons of supporters from down South now are in the same boat as local fans start to feel the pinch with increased games/ticket prices.

We should therefore not jump to dangerous and potentially libellous conclusions and allow for further evidence to be collated before we exercise judgement on the author of the tweet.

The author does however (in my opinion) need to remove the picture and apologise to the supporter involved.
Take it from the top please.

The Brick Travel is not the same entity as the Brick Pub.

The tweet myself was referring to was the Brick Pubs in response to the thread title: "do you drink in the brick?"

My friend I hope when you sober up in the morning you acknowledge weaponising racism to point score when you've been informed repeatedly of the situation is very unsavoury.

How do you always make it worse?

Ffs Have some sense that you’ve made an absolute hash of it and walk the hell away from this thread.
