How do you always make it worse?

Ffs Have some sense that you’ve made an absolute hash of it and walk the hell away from this thread.

I'm a firm believer Rafuh that we're all human, humans make mistakes from time to time even the most enlightened of us.

I was simply making it known I do not condone racism. The author of the Brick Travel is a disgrace and needs educating.

The Brick PUB account dug himself the deepest of the holes in defending the tweet citing anger as its cause.
He then began offering straighteners.
A valiant and just cause.
A massive knobhead.

Like you.

By no means, I have never defended racism nor doubled down on that defence before trying to excuse myself my ignorance though.

Let he who is without sin you spouted.
Indeed.

Exactly. Yet here you are judging one man by his self admitted honest mistake and throwing all sorts of vulgar insultive language his way.

Think about that and why our society is in such a mess. I wish you no ill or any other man for that matter.

I dont owe anyone an apology.

I have no affiliation to Brick Travel.

I misread a tweet, it happens. Kindly get off your high horse sir.
What did you misread?

Of course I do, I did not read the brick travels tweet I read the brick pubs tweet about the pictured gentleman shouldn't be getting a ticket and assumed thats what the uproar was about.

I do not condone what the Brick Travel posted - disgraceful stuff and should be in hot water.

Let the children use racism to point score.

So you had clearly seen this post. Which includes the slur from the travel account.

For those of you thinking "What's he on about, why isn't he in the Kenwright thread as usual?"

Here's a short story in three tweets.

Even if you somehow missed that slur

@adi dassler laid it out clearly for you
I mean I'm pretty sure the biggest issue is referring to the fans as 'kitchen sinks', no?

It's even highlighted for you again in the post you replied to here an hour after everyone had pointed out the racist language in the tweets you "misread".

People in todays society Malfosse will often choose to be offended when and where it suits them.

Tens of thousands of EFC fans be it in person or online will laugh at LFC's local season ticket numbers being low and point towards them being "out of towners" is that prejudicial ?

Many of us have at one point called the RS "Norwegians" or "Scandinavians" is that not xenophobic in nature ?

I have often viewed retweeted imagery on social media and on GOT of the Kop on match day being full of Chinese fans recording the game on their Ipads, we all know the undertone intended with that right ?

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

From what I had seen earlier, my judgement of the situation for what its worth is that this man or woman is of the outdated belief of football clubs solely serving its local community.

In essence, the tweet is born not from racism, but from the nostalgic view held by many local football fans of how football is, i.e. for the local, working class labour voting man who sits in the same seat that his dad and grandad both sat in.

I dont think that makes it racist, anti middle class or anti tory/lib dem - its just the football equivalent of the older generation who harp on about the "good old days" in sadness as they witness how society changes/evolves.

The timestamps show everybody in this thread pointed it out to you and you still went off on your "it's not racist to want footy for the locals" BNP style rant.

Plain as day what you were playing at and now you're playing thick after getting caught at it. It's shameful stuff to see from fellow blues.

Football is currently evolving and often local fans feel cut off from the club they grew up supporting.

You have clubs like Fulham building a swimming pool into their stand to attract wealthy tourists, clubs like Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool are essentially tourist attractions these days. Many Man City fans who once laughed at Utd for having tons of supporters from down South now are in the same boat as local fans start to feel the pinch with increased games/ticket prices.

We should therefore not jump to dangerous and potentially libellous conclusions and allow for further evidence to be collated before we exercise judgement on the author of the tweet.

The author does however (in my opinion) need to remove the picture and apologise to the supporter involved.
See? It's nonsense like this that has made you a total laughing stock on here. I remember the days when you were quite normal.

An example from each social media post that kicked off the thread:

"These lot"

"Kitchen sinks"

"it was just a post made in anger after seeing people get tickets who shouldn't"

It's not outdated. It's casting judgement on ticketholders who went to the game to support Everton. That Judgement was based on nothing more than how those people looked. That's Racism.

I realise you tried to reinvent yourself as some free thinking trendy liberal so Sassy would send you some of her soiled panties after your constant simping, but here you're basically saying these lads are not racist, they're just outdated views.

Maybe do an episode on your next podcast about how most people who are racists aren't really racists. It will probably boost your following. (with racists.)

Nice one.

What is a covid blue lol
I've been wondering that myself.

Could it be another Chinese reference? I've not seen it explained anywhere.

That fella flew from Hong Kong with his wife and baby to watch Everton. You can argue his sanity but not his commitment to the team. He's the superest of blues.

I started going to Everton in the late 70s. Football was very racist back then, Evertons reputation as the racist club persisted well into the 80s, maybe the 90s.

I've taken my wife to Goodison. (She's from Beijing) My mate who has the season ticket next to me is a British Indian lad from Luton who's brother is the worst kind of rabid Kopite. Jesus.

Luckily, our seats are immediately surrounded by decent people so there's no problem letting his daughters (16 and 14) occasionally sit in our seats and they get no stick during the game. Around the ground they may get the odd comment but they are used to it whenever they visit the UK.

We'll never stamp it out, but we can continue to call it out.

I know the club has bigger issues right now, but I have emailed Colin Chong and CCd my shareholder liason lady about this. It can't be hard for the ticket office to track down a fella whose surname is some varietal of 'higgy' with 67 credits he's proudly collected and remove all of those credits overnight. Also, if they have any kind of arrangement with Brick Travel they are to suspend that immediately.

The club has worked hard to make Everton are more welcoming and inclusive place to watch football, but there are mouth breathing divvies doubling down on the Everton are White bollocks. Whats worse, some ignore it.
