Requests?

I thought about Manucho too - never saw him playing for MU, but saw him a few times during the Africa Cup and he was very decent. Would do a job for us, and I actually can see MU agreeing for a loan.

Bringing Saviola's profile is totally pointless - he's terrible and he cares only about the money. I know it's majority of players rule (or majority of us), but Saviola is in the group, which is even worse than average footballer.

I wouldnt like tosee us blow any wedge in Jan on another Striker frankly cos i can see it being spent better else where, if theres anyway we can get away with what we have untill Vaughan is back we should.

Vic deserves a chance, and like stinger says we will prob go 4-5-1 for the rest of the season, there will be a bigger empahsis on the likes of Cahill, Fellini to chip in.

Id be comfortable with a loan Maybe Vela at Arsenal, Boyd at Rangers and young Fletcher are all good shouts.

The Russian and Swedish seasons will be ending in the new year, so maybe a loan form there could be an option.

What chances of getting Podloski on loan? Slim i guess!

I really wanted a Moyes type midfeild gem on loan with a view to a permenent in the summer!

F'ing injuries.

Yakubu - out - indefinately
Saha - cant last a game - needs to be eating spinach for the iron (Fe)
Vaughan - Cartilage - 3 months? try 5 or 6 to full fitness.
Anichebe - for a player of his size should ruffle feathers like ferguson did, but doesnt seem to have the temperament to mix it. can find himself in no-mans-land in some games.

So, who do we actually have that could fill in up front?
Cahill - but does better rampaging forward from midfield.
Osman - has played up front before, and scored goals there too.
Pienaar - played up front for Ajax (supporting striker I believe) but suspect would be missed on our left flank... unless Baines gets to cover.

And so we find ourselves facing the man, the myth, the legend.

VDM, could he be worth a cheeky half once a weekend?

Id be quite happy with Anichebe playing up until January really. Look at yesterday, if hte midfield is as good as yesterday we will score. Anichebe can get a couple of goals, hold the ball up for the likes of Cahill and Osman to go on a run, and just get some experience.

There's nothing stopping him from getting both, mate. A striker on loan and if push comes to shove and we've got cash buy one. A midfielder on loan can be done. He might even have ideas for who before our striker crisis.

January is still some time away. It is exactly this situation which makes a mockery of the transfer windows. But I seem to recall in certain circumstances there is provision to sign outside the window.

I dunno if it works for strikers but I know if you are [Poor language removed] proper for keepers ie no reserve keeper at all, you are allowed to make a kind of emergency transfer but only a loan.

I cant see that happening when we've got 3 fit strikers registered to the 1st team (Anichebe, Baxter, Jukebox). Dont matter how good they are, they're able to play so they'll have to play.

Well at least some of us will get our wish and see Baines at LB after Lescott moves to CB in place of Jags, who Moyes will have to make as the lone striker again.

Could be worse - I remember a few years ago we had Steve Watson upfront for quite a few matches.

Ronaldo on a rolling contract looks like a risk worth taking to me.
