Let's not get carried away guys.

If I remember correctly, he took 3 corners and 1 free kick.
One of the corners didn't get past the first defender, but the others were magnificent.
Osmans were terrible in the second half.

It will take a lot more than the odd corner to prove himself in the Premiership.

Let's give the lad time, and not build up expectation too quickly.

I was very impressed with 'Bily the Russian'. Good passing, good vision, good control. I think he can go on to become a very important player for us.
I must admit, watching him in last night's game reminded me a lot of Robert Pires when he was at Arsenal but without the daft haircut!!!
I only hope he is as successful for us as Pires was for Arsenal!!

he was very comfortable on the ball - like arteta - shields it and passes to a teammate.

Reminded me of Beckham with his crossing & set pieces.

Had a good first half there, lets see how he does against the grocks of Blackburn on Sunday.

Looks the part though, must better balanced with him in it. When he develops his understanding with Baines it could be sexual down the left.

from what i saw of the lad he seems to have a killer left foot the way he whipped the ball in from corners.

its too early to say but he indeed does look like a quality player who can hack it straight from the off in the premiership.

Mooner, easy to say you got off on the wrong foot here with all of the Lescott blather but admit it's good to see you've weathered the storm and glad to have you. Level headed and thoughtful posts from other club's supporters adds to the breadth of discussion. Well done even if you wind up the masses from time to time.

I do like the new russian. He looks a good prospect. He has the athleticism of a well trained russian gymnist. He is also a bit of a looker, in a russian kind of way.
