Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.......

Dont know what to make of him so far, tbh. He doesn't look like he can hit the by-line and bang in crosses. The past few days I've been hearing that his game reminds some people of Beckham's: that his quality is in his delivery from way outside the box and the work rate you got from a young Beckham. I'm not so sure. I feel Moyes might prefer this early delivery to on running forwards as mobile as Saha and Jo. Whatever, it's frustrating to see a wide player release the ball so quickly (unless it's a killer diagonal pass!).

Looking at the youtube stuff he looks like he enjoys himself in there with all the dragbacks and slalom! Dont know whether that makes it a good idea like.

Im only asking being that if he cant get to the byline, prefers to cross from deep, has nimble footwork but isnt particularly pacy...stick him in the middle and let him distribute from there.

Or atleast have him and Ossie swap over from the right.

Theres no point him being quick and getting to the byline cause by the time the rest of our team catch up it will be too late, might as well just play the early pass or cross cause he seems to good enough for it.

Some of you need to stop thinking hes a winger, hes not, Moyes hates wingers, thats quite clear. Hes not going to hug the touchline, hes not Aaron Lennon. Moyes clearly likes ball playing wide midfielders, Pienaar isnt a winger, but hes got a different skill set than Billy.

Have no doubt the boy has talent, he can spot a pass and he can hit a ball in, some of his cross field passes are a joy and lets not forget the countless assists he has already made.

I think its the same thing with Fellaini, we thought he was going to be this box to box midfield beast who would eat up the midfield, hes not, hes a ball playing midfield with outstanding aerial ability.

We are all guilty are judging players on what we imagined they would be, Billy is a talented player, sadly hes not the speedy winger we all wanted, but he will shine.

Im not too fussed about him hugging the touch line. Pienaar's is similar to him so we know it can work.

I just want someone given a shot at Arteta's position in the middle of the park. Fancy Bily just getting the ball in the middle, turning, then pinging balls all over the show. He also doesnt look as lightweight as Ossie.

I dunno. Its gash on that right wing. Id even give the Goose a run over Ossie at the moment.

Billy really is the only creative spark we have at the moment. I agree give Gosling a run out on the right. At least he may offer some protection for the full back.

I've pretty much given up on seeing a 'proper' winger at Everton while Moyes is in charge. :(

Anyone think he'd be alright filling in the central midfield role?
Exactly what I thought. If someone is good enough to take control of midfield our winger will find themselves with loads of space.
Its easy to play against us. Mark our CM and our center back will launch it. If we attack by the flank all they need is to double up on our winger and we're sure to get nowhere. Theres no option for us in the middle.

RUSSIA coach Guus Hiddink believes Everton new boy Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has already been toughened up by his brief spell in the Premier League.

The ex-Chelsea boss was glowing in his praise for the midfielder, after he scored twice in Russia’s 2-1 World Cup play-off win against Slovenia at the weekend.

He believes the 24-year-old has already benefited from his £9.2m switch to Goodison Park in the summer, and is coping with the more physical side of the English game.

He said: “The matches of the English Premier League hardened him in battles. Bill is a really stylish player. And to tell the truth after a recent game against Azerbaijan I had no doubts that he would appear in the starting eleven.

“His work at training only proved my decision was right. People are growing up.

“And Bilyaletdinov is becoming a real man. To my mind people in Russia underestimated him till now.”

Hidink, who recommended Bilyaletdinov to David Moyes, added that the left-sided attacker is also developing a better right foot.

“Usually left-footed players have problems with their right leg. But Diniyar scored both goals with his right one.

“I would not call him a two-footed footballer but he proved that he could do wonderful things with the right leg as well.”

He really is going to be good...
