I'd be happy to have him if he was £6 or £7m tops. £9m is too much though considering his age and the fact he has has only a year left on his contract. Plus he's shown his snidey side by refusing to play for Fulham so it's a no from me.

Refusing to play for the club that is paying you is weak. I don't care what his side of the story is. You play, and you play your best. For your teammates. For your fans. For yourself, and for your family. Clint just lost some of my respect.

Those who know Dempsey aren't buying that he's refusing to play (including his former coach at New England). I'm not sure what's going on, but here's a little perspective.

Breaking my silence to agree with Zatara. Fist time for everything. I have been a HUGE fan of Deuce, but if even half of this is true, I don't want him anywhere near a blue shirt. IF this true, he's acting like a Kopite and belongs elsewhere. CarolinaBlue, 6 mil is waaaay to much in my opinion. We already have a player in his area of expertise, Naismith. We could use that money to strengthen elsewhere.

I don't want Dempsey tbh unless he was available for free or minimal transfer. We have brought in Naismith and looks like mirallas who I magine play ACM/RW. There's also Donovan who will be back by jan.

I really don't think we need him when you take into consideration cost age and what we ourselves have/our bringing in.
