IF Baines were to go and N'Zogbia (who would be absolutely ideal for us) were to sign for the dark side that would be pretty much how I thought things would turn out...Just so typically Everton...Evertonians are surely owed some luck somewhere along the line, Everton fooking depress me..

I think the last time I remember we didn't sell to buy was when we bought the likes of Yak, Pienaar, Baines & Jagielka (around £23 million) in 07/08. I think the only real money we got in was for Beattie & Naysmith (£5 million). So we have spent out in the past.

But with spiralling wages & no investment, those days are long gone. It is hard being a toffee...

I'll explain again....Stoke gained promotion to the premier league which provides more revenue. Clubs who are promoted then (generally) budget for relegation the following season, stoke survived therefore giving them additional revenue they didnt expect, this can then be used for transfers. The Coats family didnt personnely bankroll stokes spending. Again im not defending Kenwright, the fact of the matter is our club is skint, end of. Not all promoted clubs stay up as long as stoke have

and I'll explain again what ever the reason what ever money, the coats family back the club, they gained promotion yeah??? We have been in the premier league since it began way back in the 90's so if your looking at what type of money there spending our income in the last 20 years compared to Stoke's is chalk and cheese so in summary yeah they have money from promotion and they spend it , we've finished in the top 10 umpteen times in the premier league , been in the europa league with the TV money you receive ect ect , we sell players like Pienarr and dont replace them , Kenwright is a ****e-hawk end off

But what do want Kenwright to back it with??? He has no money and has never claimed to have money?

If City have bid £25m, Baines is as good as gone. Which is a huge shame, cos I love the kid. The only bright side, albeit a small bright side, would be that we'd be able to buy 2/3 fairly good players with that money. However, one would have to be a left back, and I don't know any as good as Baines. The only one I've heard touted is that Izaguirre, and I've never seen him play.

Talking about families:

Lord Grantchester declined to put himself forward for reelection at the 2000 AGM, citing business reasons. However, there are rumours that he left because Bill Kenwright rejected his numerous offers of financial help during or after the takeover by True Blue Holdings. And the rumours have continued since, fueled by the belief of many Everton fans that Lord Grantchester would happily underwrite a massive venture into the transfer market in support of David Moyes, if only Bill Kenwright would swallow his pride and allow the Moores Millions to once again revive a flagging Everton...

he Everton team returned to the UK today to find that, after much posturing in their absense, the club is no nearer a resolution to it's boardroom struggles.

And the problems were further highlighted with a formal statement from Lord Grantchester, claiming NOT to be Paul Gregg's financial backer. It read :

"I'm a lifelong Evertonian and I share in all Evertonians' disappointment and frustration at seeing our great club failing to compete at the highest level.

"I understand the desire for change and with this in mind I have had preliminary discussions to see how the present difficulties could be put in the context of a long-term solution for stability.

"It is not the case that I am behind Mr Gregg's proposals to underwrite funds for the club and indeed I have not seen Mr Gregg's proposals for the board.

"Any solution needs to underpin the future of the club. A short-term measure, while providing temporary respite, must not be burdensome to the future.

"The present circumstances can't be helpful to David Moyes as he prepares a team for the start of the season.

"I look forward to the board's proposal to make progress with a clear vision for the development of Everton Football Club and my family will continue to have the best interests of Everton at heart."

So, Mr Gregg, did lying to Everton fans help Mr Johnson in any way when he was at the club?

The bit in bold strikes me the most. Why aren't we getting any financial help?

Ive heard from other people that Granchester has no interest in owning a football club, and for me where the whole kenwright wont let him rumour falls down is...the amount of resement aimed at kenwright means all granchester would have to do is release one press statement saying he would invest if kenwright stepped down, Kenwright couldnt hide then...but as it stand he hasnt

Why do we bother with the endless pro/anti Bill stuff on our forums? He and his board colleagues are the present reality, be that good, bad or indifferent. KEIOC and Evertonians for Change provide a platform to campaign for change so those who feel strongly, do something about it. On the forums I personally just want to get as much positive experience from hanging with other true believers as I can. If we cannot enjoy being Evertonians, irrespective of current success, ownership, bank balance then we're wasting our collective time. Now I've got that off my chest I'll head back under my rock.

Yes but if he doesn't want to run the club, and is a true blue, can't he use his families money to invest in transfers for Moyes? They are worth are fair amount too, or better still he could lend us the money instead of going through the banks?

Nothing Murph I know that lar , going back to my point at the beginning , if any decent players of the Nzogbia calibre come to Everton this season I promise to streak on the pitch first game of the season that's how certain iam , and if we sell Baines and do it that way that doesn't count because I can see that happening known uncle boys pen Bill

Point 1- We broke our transfer record 3 years on the run (Investing in the squad), now we are having to spend less as we never qualified for champs league etc during that period. Sunderland invested last season and the season before now they are holding back. They dont invest more, they just did it at a different time.
Point 2- Spurs have additional revenue streams which provide funds to purchase players. Spurs are a very rich club FACT. we are not FACT
Point 3 - I dont even know what your trying to say, ive given you the reason for stoke having money to spend and you just come back to some rant about not caring you just want money to spend. They have money to spend cos they have income which wasnt forecasted (forecasting is how a business budgets)
Point 5- Im a fan who also pays my hard earned money to follow the club, however i realise that money does not just grown on trees. Our chairman has no money, thats not his fault. What do you want him to do? I dont particularly like bill kenwright but its not his fault the club is skint and not his fault he isnt a billionaire.

THIS IS REAL LIFE NOT FOOTBALL MANAGER, This is a real business, you cant just go spending money you dont have.

he has had eleven years to make the club a profit making business,it may not be his fault HE has no money, but the buck stops with him over the clubs lack of cash.

Not that i want to see you naked but if signing high quality players means you will giving it beans across goodison come august then i for one pray for it. hahaha
