I hate stuff like this. It's a wilful misunderstanding of what happens on the news. It's not Panorama, they aren't there to go on a fact hunt and decide whether that's true, they're simply telling you what the government said. It's standard practice in all news bulletins on all channels and to pretend otherwise is just conspiracy theory crackpot stuff.

Suffergettes would be queen "Woke" back in their day of protest, I'm in good company, same with Trade unionists, and those who constructed the Welfare State, can add gay sex being decriminalized, etc. Same people harp on about "woke" in the main would have stood against all those movements.

I do and I don't fume massively about it. Surely the infrastructure etc costs a few quid so I don't mind paying. It is a bit daft that Lineker, Winkleman etc are on millions though. Some of the presenters are definitely overpaid.

My workfriend ditched her TV licence last year, saying there is nothing but rubbish on. She only watches DVDs and football on [Publication is blacklisted] as well as downloading movies on Pirate Bay.

“I’m not funding your pedo ring” is what she would say to a Capita inspector.

We stopped for just over a year. Didn't watch any BBC, read news, use their websites etc.. We caved in a couple of months ago because of the threatening letters and the remote possibility that a relative/friend could connect to their server whilst over. Reduced the Mrs to tears. Disgusting corporation.

I see they have just had to formally apologise to James Dyson for 'grossly misrepresenting'
what he said and how he acted.
It wouldn't last 5 minutes if it was funded on a subscription basis.
