Definite starters

Baines, Coleman, Jagielka, Fellaini, Gibson, Distin, Mirallas. wouldn't be betting any more than a fiver at the moment on anyone else. although he would be taking big chance not starting Howard after the pre-season I can still see outside chance of him doing it. If Alcaraz was fit then Distin maybe under threat but nothing really available to try something new. I have an optimistic feeling he will start Barkley as he potentially offers something we haven't got. I would love to see him try Oviedo further forward too. What are the odds we start with a team very similar to the one Moyes would have started.

This should be our team:

Howard

Coleman - Jags - Distin - Baines

Gibson - Fellaini

Mirallas - Barkley - Naismith

Jelavic

Oh come on....a couple of good Pre-season performances by Naismith doesn't turn him into a first 11 starter! If he can come on from the bench and play well I'll take that as progress and he'll have done well and may just have some worth to the squad. Still pienaar for me, unless we signed a RW which may then tempt me to play mirallas left.

As for Fellaini, yes I think he'll be off to utd. If we use the cash well, think we'd very possibly come out of it stronger. Would have to use it well tho. We're a injury away from disaster in CM.

All this Naismith love makes me chuckle. Remember the same after he scored a hat trick against AEK last year.

The old boys in the Lower Bullens will be back to snarling and spitting bits of pie out in fury when he fails to find a 10 yard pass against West Brom.

Don't really want Naismith in the team as I would rather use Oviedo or Deulofoooooo - however it seems like he has grabbed the chance of a fresh start with RM, something Pienaar has not done.

Naismith played well last night much better, the issue is if he carried on like this then I wouldn't mind him starting.

Assuming the big man is doing one, it has to be Howard, baines, jags, buzz, Coleman, gibbo, Ross, pienaar, super Kev, Big Vic and jell.. 4-1-3-2... I believe Piennar and Ross and Super Kev are our best option of getting into attacking space.... Jury is still out on a goal scorer though so Vic and jelavic together at least stops us punting long as we started to do again last night, and in Vic we have someone to compete in the air and hold it up if Felli is a distant memory.
The three at the back experiment didn't work.. You need footballlers who are comfortable bringing it out.. With the slightest pressure this last week we reverted to passing it square across the back before eventually Distin punted it up the left. That's not going to work, Baines and Coleman as full backs with two centre halves has been the biggest reason we have move into the top half of the table. Remember all those MoTD hour goals for Wigan as they pushed up and got caught flat at the back... Not for us Robbie.

I would like to see this
Howard.
Coleman...Jags......Distin...Baines.
.......Gibson........Fellaini...................
...............Barkley........................
.....Mirallas...Jelevic..Kone

3-2-3-1-1 IMO

Howard
Heitinga/Stones
Jagielka
Distin
Coleman
Baines
Gibbo
Ossie
Felli
Mirallas
Pienaar
Jelavic

Subs:
Joel, Heitinga/Stones, Alcaraz, Oviedo, Naismith, Ross, Anichebe

While I know I'm wrong, I can't find a place for Deulofeu, Kone, Duffy...

Good thing when you have a big enough squad though!

I wasn't asking for formations just who has played so well in preseason that they have made themselves definite starters.
