No, the "love" for Kenwright is people seeing it for what it is.

Under his watch we have constantly been at the right end of the table (maybe not high enough but that's history for you) whilst watching over clubs go to the wall.

He made mistakes, as most in his position will do and I get the Kirkby issue (though people are not forgiving him over something that actually didn't happen which is a bit odd...).

I have no doubt that every choice he made regardless of it was a bad choice or not was done with the best interests of the club in mind.

Sure he could have done better. He also could have done a LOT worse.

I give him credit for appointing Moyes, BUT Kenwright got very, very lucky. There was nothing in Moyes career history to say that he would do as well as he did, on a limited budget. Moyes was the reason we were at the right end of the table, Kenwright didn't bring anything to the table, apart from selling off assets and no transfer budget.

Kirkby didn't happen, but the lies from Kenwright in the local press certainly did. World class stadium in Kirkby, when it was actually a cardboard box next to a Tesco supermarket.

If it wasn't for Moyes, things would have been a lot worse. Kenwright sold off assets quicker than a liquidator, maybe that should be his next career.

Kenwright failings are here to see now Moshiri is here. Moshiri and Ryazantsev business acumen has put Kenwright to shame. Sponsorships in, great fees incoming for very average players, Jim White talking us up at every opportunity when the media outlets never gave is the time of day.

But hey, Kenwright stood in the boys pen so all is forgiven.

Hmmm

Tis a shame that davek appears to be banned at the moment, or you might have caught a really big fish !!
I posted on the second page so clearly my opinion was heartfelt and genuine.

There are, at least, two whatsapp cliques mate.
One's for mods only, and one's for the posters clique. I was invited to both but prefer to fly solo and annoy everyone equally !
Grass.

I've heard it's exclusively for multis and banned posters ?
Blimey, that cuts it down to about 50% of the active posters then ?

Anyway, Bill Kenwright - For me, he's pretty much a "meh" chairman, who's done a few things badly, a few things not so badly and, finally, seems to have brought someone into the club who actually knows what they're doing !

Is right

Sorry, don't get me wrong, I like the way you've written it, really well done. But my view is that you are praising a businessman who made a killing on an asset with no investment. He had every right to do so, and if you had praised his business acumen in keeping an asset until it was worth an optimum amount, then sure - but you're not; you're praising him as some sort of benevolent father like figure who we should be thankful for.

He wasn't, and we shouldn't. Because he kept hold of his toy football club for so long, and because of his sheer incompetence in regards to multiple ground moves, we're a decade behind where we could have been.

So yeah, as unpopular as this post will be, I simply disagree with what you posted completely, no matter how well it was written.

Bloody hell Tubey, I'm disappointed that you, of all people, were reeled in by BLF !
