Dear Bill

And what do you base that fascinating insight on?
Intuition
Would that be intuition like our manager, who I assume knows a little more than you, saying the Chairman had a massive hand in getting Sigi signed. Just a little confused how you take this statement and totally ignore it. Oh and the fact that practically every player that signs, who I assume know more about their own move and life than you do, says the Chairman was a major reason for signing. Oh and pretty much everyone in the game who comments on Everton, who I assume know more than you about the game having been part of it, say Bill is a great Chairman and saved Everton. So in making your crass statement, exactly who do you know more than - Koeman, the players or ex-players?

The longest barren spell of substandard mediocrity that the club has ever experienced.

Clap clap clap.

That's got thing to do with your statement. You said Bill screwed the Sigi deal based on nothing other than your perceived history. I'm stating historic facts say that's utter rubbish but wondered who you know more than?

Jesus- the OP reads likes a love letter.

Bill certainly didn't deserve the ragging on from fans during the dark Moyes era. But he took a heck of a long time to find someone like Moshiri. Or maybe Moshiri just came to find Everton?

Everyone with intelligence knows that Bill did not have the money required to keep us going, where did the Arteta etc (ad nausea) money go? kept us alive until Bill found the right partner.

Moshiri says he was talked into Everton by Bill and his obvious passion for the club, something the chair and board at Arsenal don't have in the same way.

He has had his faults, but we are still in the top flight and have never been relegated in my lifetime. More than can be said about Citeh, Urinated, Cheslski to name but 3.

Bill Kenwright became a director of Everton in 1989, strange how that coincides with the beginning of Everton’s demise. Yet, people acting here like Kenwright, took over in 1994 and scored that Graham Stuart penalty to save us from relegation.

I like Kenwright as a person. But I also live in reality and I’m not going to sugar coat his failures. Yes, he is a local blue. But there are plenty of local blues in Merseyside who are diehard and actually live there, but skint also, you wouldn’t want them to remortgage their house and take over one the biggest clubs in English football, which was also in debt in the 1990s. That would be a disaster. 20 years later, you might have that same club being talked about in the same breathe as Southampton, and people loving that local blue would compare us to “Portsmouth when defending him.

In order for that local blue to continue as chairman he’d have to initiate austerity and sell off every asset of the club. And while he doesn’t have any business acumen, he’d end up getting crap sponsorship deals year in, year out. He’d also get so desperate that he’d probably end up doing some insane thing like striking a deal with a supermarket corporation to make a crap stadium outside of the city.

But hey, that local blue loves the club….. He loves Everton oh so much. Let’s make a statue of him outside the stadium. For what? Bringing in David Moyes? Bringing in Moshir? Bringing Sandwiches to corporate fans at half time?

Thanks Bill for well and truly making our fanbase have a small time mentality
