Klaassen goes for chance at Everton
The debut year of Davy Klaassen at Everton failed, but the former captain of Ajax does not think about departing from England.
Almost everyone agreed: the step from Davy Klaassen (25) to Everton came exactly at the right moment. As one of the best players in the league, he left Ajax for the Premier League. But his first year abroad became a struggle. Klaassen only played seven games in the English league and was completely out of the picture after the winter.
The metamorphosis Everton waits, Klaassen decides to go full of chances with the club from Liverpool. Manager Sam Allardyce, who was absolutely not a fan of the midfielder, has left and with Marcel Brands the English club gets a technical director who knows Klaassen well.
Klaassen left Ajax last summer for Everton that paid 27 million for him. He is still under contract with the English club for another four years.
"Davy is not someone who gives up quickly," says his agent Søren Lerby.
"Davy wants to start the preparation at Everton. When it comes back to a second plan? These are scenarios for later."
