Too many didn't wanna play for us last season. This lad says he won't leave until he's had a proper chance. I'll take that over the attitude of the likes of Williams and Schneiderlin. He can't be as crap as some think.
This!!
I don't think we have seen the best of him, I'm in no way comparing him to De Bruyne but back when he was at Chelsea you wouldn't have paid a fiver for him. A bit of time and development and today he's arguably one of the best players in the league.

He has the attitude and mental strength and he has played the game all his life, I say let's give him A preseason get him ready and see what he can really do.

Don't understand why we write off players so quickly now!

Luca Modric in 2012/13 was voted the worst La Liga buy after struggling in his first season.
David de Gea, almost crucified by the press when he first came here.
Thierry Henry, didn’t score for his first 8 games at Arsenal and struggled until Wenger changed his position.
Gareth Bale, unbelievably was on the losing side (24 times, yes 24 times) when he played for Spurs after he joined at 17.
Victor Moses at Chelsea, title winner.
Robert Pires, another who struggled and was laughed at by some in his first season.

Victor Moses is a good one, Absolutely written off by everyone and came back nicely after Conte gave him a chance.

Does anyone else not think his motivation for wanting to fight for his place may have something to do with his weekly massive wage.

I dont blame him mind, but lets read between the lines of the down trodden underdog waiting for a chance as his only motivation.

Well yeh, I'd imagine it has something to do with it, but I do also genuinely think he wants to make a success of himself.

He's gone from Ajax's captain and a regular for the Netherlands to not playing for either club or country. He took a gamble moving here and he wants to show he's got the quality to make it work.
