But he doesn't make the bench with big Sam and he didn't with Unsworth .think that tells a tale. I wouldn't have thought it would have been too hard to break into the side given this seasons performances. I hope I'm wrong . I really do.

Went on the Ajax stadium tour today and due to wearing my Everton hat got chatting to the guide about Klaassen. The guy said he’s not happy at Everton due to lack of games and that he will look to leave come the end of the season if he doesn’t play more games.
The guide said he couldn’t understand why he doesn’t play any games for us but also that they wouldn’t want him back at Ajax as his position is filled now.

By the way it’s a great stadium and tour of the club, well worth it if you are over this’s way.

Yeh Ajax stadium guide will know all about Klaassen's feelings.

Off to watch them first week in Feb, can’t wait to take it in and see what talent I can spot.

His style of play suits teams with a high defensive line that play on the front foot, don't think throwing him into this team would be a good move.

Thank you for the kind words.

I do think that the trainers after Koeman were a bit harsh on Davy, but let's be realistic here, there is not a top PL player lost in Klaassen. It says enough that the guide wouldn't want him back at Ajax either. Sure, we prefer young players, but for, say, Suarez, Eriksen or Vertonghen, everybody would make the exception and have them back. Davy is not of that calibre.

Unfortunately, it is the same story as with Siem de Jong. Remarkably average at the Eredivisie level in most facets of the game except for finishing ability and having an intelligent, stable personality. Both were captain at Ajax and looked upon as the leader in the school bus consisting mostly of players between age 18-22. The player that holds the team together and is important in the "dressing room".Which is nice and all, but if you lack actual quality, it will become apparent rather quickly, as is the case right now.

The Bundesliga seems the right place for him to exhibit all his "laufpensum". Italy comes to mind as well, but doesn't suit his character and attitude. Same as with Frank de Boer at Inter Milan, it just doesn't mix.

Keep an eye out for Frenkie de Jong. Creative midfielder with excellent passing and dribbling abilities. Is used as a centre back nowadays to drive play forward from the back, despite his lack of physique and defensive qualities. Also, Justin Kluivert (son of) is a promising and exciting winger and Andre Onana is easily the best goalkeeper in the Netherlands.

No problem mate I really enjoyed the tour of your club. The ground although it wasn’t built a few back still looks modern. I noticed they are changing all the seats to red as opposed different colours.

Gutted there are no games when I am over here as it would have been nice to see an Ajax game.
The tour guide said it is very difficult to get tickets to Ajax games as around 98% are taken by season ticket holders. Is this the case?

He couldn't make the bench when every single one of our central midfield players were playing crap. It doesn't take a genius to work it out.

Well, Sam IS continuing to play Davies, and his lineups have produce a grand total of 1 or so shots on goal in how many matches, so not exactly a ringing endorsement for him knowing what the heck hes doing on the attacking half of the field. Or with team selections.

Well that's that then.

Finishing matches without a shot on target but FSA is happy to ship out a player who hasn't had a chance. I guess playing three defensive midfielders with two half fit is better than trying Klaassen.
