Problem for him is that we don't even play a formation that works for him so there's no real place for him even on form. As with Moyes, RM and Koeman we play 2 defensive mids 1 attacking mid, and he's not really either. More of the latter but he's never ever creative enough, it's not his game even on his day

Think the formation to get the best out of Klaassen would be a Barca style 4-3-3 with 1 sitting (only player we have that has the discipline to this is Baningime IMO, Schneids hides and Gueye wants to be too busy) with Klaassen and whoever just in front. Or a 3 at the back where you don't need a DM. But we can't afford to risk any of that yet

Maybe when we're safe we'll see a bit of tinkering with system and personnel

Get him on some decent steak with a few pints of guiness to build him up a bit then get him in the gym over the summer and give him another chance next season.

Id wish he’d get a real chance, training and a stable run in the team isnt the same thing. And he’s a good player, he scored on and helpet beat teams better than Everton in the EL. I think him playing behind Gylfi would be good for us, he moves the ball quickly which would help a lot, Siggy not being the quickest player around and all. He needs to bulk up a little bit first tho, is to easy to wrestle off the ball atm.

We are literally out of everything, despite what we all want it seems Allardyce see's top 10 as a success. We have to give the lad a chance, a run of games. If he is reportedly on 100k a week hes got to be playing!
