I dont really rate Davy, tbh, i never have even when i watched him at Ajax, i just dont see what the lad offers that no one else in the squad has.

That said id be loath to take a hit on this lad and Sandro for that matter.

Id give both 18 months to aclimatise and take it from there.

I actually would be interested to see him get a chance in the double pivot beside Gueye at least the lad tries to play it forward.

Yer wha?

sandro and him have been no worse than the rest of the squad so why do they get weirdly omitted from the squad ?

how do you even justify starting schneiderlin over him lmao

I just don’t think that’s true, personally.

Sandro has looked comically bad, while Calvert-Lewin has put in consistently decent performances and Niasse has scored important goals.

I couldn’t justify Schneiderlin starting over a traffic cone with a pair of footy boots glued to it, but Klassen has shown little to suggest he deserves a game over Gueye, Rooney, Davies and even Baningime.

Might it be worth trying Davy in a deeper role next to a true holding midfielder? I think there's a player there, and it's possible he could do a job similar to Rooney by holding on to the ball and linking play going forward, and then arriving late to get on the end of scoring opportunities. If he's not going to play we need to loan him out though to a place like Swansea which needs players and will try to play football. I'd like to see what he can do with a decent run of games, I just don't think it's going to be here this season.

Not for me, his tackling is dreadful, he turns like a cruise ship and his work rate is nothing special. He’d be a complete liability, especially if Gueye wasn’t playing.

You can see the ability, I just don’t think this league is for him.

It's been a real struggle for the lad as it has been for most of the squad during this season, got to give him some time to get to grips with the PL.He may come good yet I hope so.Selling him at this time makes no sense because we will have to take a big loss.Oumar has added to his value even without big game time.Let's hope Davy can do the same needs game time and a moment or two of magic things might change.
