You could say the same about Bergkamp. I remember him joining Arsenal, and he looked well out of his depth at the start. However he was given more than 4 games to prove himself, and look how it turned out.

What I'm getting at, is I trust Cruyff, Koeman and Bergkamp judgement over the idiots on here and social media.
The whole point is that they can all be right, but that doesn't mean he's right for the league. You could also say the same about Shevchenko. The "idiots" were right in that case. He'll be given time as he should be, but that doesn't mean he will come good. He might. You can only judge someone by what he's shown. So far, not great.

Seems to be getting a lot of stick despite the whole team to a man not performing anywhere near there ability. Far too early to judge, same with Sandro.
His one touch play is fine. But he goes missing too often. He also offers nothing in an attacking sense. It's not over for him or anything like that, but the premier league is littered with failed players from the Dutch league. He has a lot to do, been the weakest of the summer signings thus far, along with Sandro.

Absolutely not. If he's poor in his preferred position, God help him in one that isn't his. Perseverance is the name of the game.

Until we flog him to Willem II in Jan.

Eh?

He played as one of a midfield three more or less the whole of last season, not as a number 10.

Last season was the most productive of his career so far

He looks absolutely gash, a complete waste of money imo. This lad will do absolutely nothing at Goodison, vault me.

I agree the Dutch league is not what it once was; I didn't know much about him before we signed him but he is a dutch international as well. The team are not playing well and we don't have any style. It's just too early too tell for me although early signs are he is struggling. He and Sandro won't be the first players to take time to adapt to this league. I'll give them a chance yet. Not that they care what I think though.

But what does he offer from deep other than a few runs, without Ross we desperately need someone who can put their foot on the ball

Someone who can get into the box maybe score a few ? Don't get me wrong I'd start Davies personally but if Klassen does start I feel like that's his best role he isn't a number ten for me right now.

..I think he's an intelligent footballer who will be at his best with like minded players. Two passes give me hope, one to Rooney at the end of the first half at home to Split and the Ball to DCL in the previous round. No first touch, just immediate lay offs.

I just hope Koeman had a plan in mind when he brought him in. I think he's a good footballer but only in the right set up.
