David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

The only thing that matters are PL points.

Couldn't care less if we lost that one last night 10-0. Points on Sunday is the priority.

4 points from the next two are my target not getting a useless result in a cup that was never in play anyway.
We are lucky 3 of 6 games were in the cup so no valuable points were lost

He's good at working with the kids - he should stick to that. We're lucky to have him in that capacity.

He's failed at his audition to be the boss though.

Exactly.

4 points from 9 out of the 3 PL games since Koeman left. If we keep that up we're ok.

And being anything like "ok" after that Dutch mess left the club in the bin is all we can hope for.
We’ve spoken before about how we both thought Unsworth was gonna be a good Everton manager.

I appreciate he was left a mess, but I thought he’d have done a little better

Did Koeman bring on Feeney, exposing him to Atalanta's attack in a game that was already done? The poor lad's confidence must be shot.

Unsworth is a terrible manager who will take this club down.

Isolate the PL games from the cups. He's done ok there. He's basically had to try and audition for this job trying to also make a fist of it in those dead rubbers and with another managers disastrous signings.

He may not be up to the job but I wouldn't make that judgement off the series of games he's had on his plate.

We have 4 more points now than we would have had if Koeman had remained in place, and that is the priority for me. We are in a relegation struggle with a relegation class squad.

Not good enough
He can’t be left in charge or we’re in for a real rough ride
Totally and utterly out of his depth
Pretty grim really
If he’s in charge Sunday we lose

It’s hard to comprehend just wtf has gone wrong at our club. I don’t mean last night, as Unsworth is plainly trying to keep what he considers his best players for the weekend, but some are playing like they’ve only just met each other......

Unsworth is looking rightky to Southampton.

If it were me last night had have debuted 11 players from the Academy.

I think he is targeting the league and just fulfilling the Europa league fixtures. If he was serious about last night we would have seen Pickford, Baines, Jagielka,Gueye and Sigurdsson in the team. Points picked up at Southampton are far more important than anything that happened last night apart from fringe players not grasping the opportunity to push their way into the first team.

Exactly mate.

Unsworth, oh he gets the youth lads, exposed a young 18 year old to a total massacre. And why? Oh that's right, on some weird 'like me' desperation play to the crowd.

'We should play on the front foot'. Great idea mate, your defense concedes a goal a game, why not get the side to be more open in your carelesstaker role, oh good we now concede on average 2 goals a game.

The problem is if we'd got a proper manager in after Koeman, the previous performances could be neatly sent away with him, fresh start for the players. Thanks to Unnnnnnsy's reign of terror, there's not one player in the squad untarnished by the horror show, and they all got the Twain treatment last night when he chucked them under the bus afterwards in the press conference.

If there was a choice of Unsworth until the end of the season or take Koeman back until May who would you choose??

I would take Koeman back and that’s how bad I rate Unsworth!!
